Annnnnnnnnnnnd we’re back to saying “look at me look at me” this is like a weird version of Facebook where everyone wants to present their best life. Plus, didn’t you find this guy after a horrific failed marriage? weren’t you already in your 40s? hm ok. Anyways.
Finding a woman that is ok with hibernating is kinda rare. I’ve made it maybe 7 days without a girl starting to say “can we go to dinner? let’s do something”
Maybe it is a regional thing, climate matters I guess. I’m sure northern girls can hibernate because the weather dictates it, but bring them to a warm climate and see if she doesn’t leave you sitting in your jammies watching Mandalorian alone while she goes out to have a mimosa with her gfs lol (not saying that’s a bad thing, just making a point)
What’s that mean? My parents divorced in their 40s and it was fairly ugly towards the end and now my mom is re-married and my dad’s engaged (both turn 60 this year). Both are way happier now and they’re able to be cordial even friendly with each other.
Maybe you are or maybe you’re not, but you come across as angry and bitter. I assume it’s because of your own failed relationships. It might be a good idea to work on that instead of posting about relationships/marriages with strangers on the internet.

It means you shouldn’t be beating your chest saying stupid shit like it’s user error, or that someone much younger than you is wrong when you, yourself didn’t find the ‘perfect person’ or whatever until the later half of your adult life. That’s ludicrous.
I’m sitting here complimenting this guy about a nice catch and here we are diminishing it in order to put me down as the person at fault for considering it a nice find lol… the cartwheels being done are always fun to see.

Weird thing to say from a guy who’s only anecdotal evidence seems to be “I know a guy”, “I dated this chick” or “I have never seen”.
This last paragraph kind of sums you up. You never truly have anything of substance to say you just enjoy making up weird scenarios in your head and throwing them about like confetti. You are an odd little man.

People are trying to inform you through experience. Everyone has to experience everything for themselves, and the time frame is different for everyone. I’m in a happy relationship since I was 18, lasting longer than any of my fathers relationships. He taught me growing up, sometimes intentionally sometimes not.
Hell, a good friend of mines parents divorced at 45 after 25 years of marriage. It wasnt ugly. It was very mutual. They’re civil, and otherwise happier.
There is no standard, is the point people are trying to get across. Take advice, learn what you can, pick out the shit you dont agree with, and make informed rational decisions, instead of generalizing.

I don’t follow, sometimes it is user error. Didn’t you advocate for a side piece a few posts ago? That’s user error… It’s right in the vows, man.
I think the point was you need to and can find a person that matches your personality. They exist. There are a lot of women that are homebodies just like there are a lot of dudes that have to stay moving. My father and father-in-law both need to constantly be doing something. On the other hand, my mom prefers to stay at home. It’s amazing, there are like 10 posters in here and two know of women that like to stay home as opposed to going out.
^This is the most, idk, troubling part of your posts. You can’t seem to get past the anecdotes you deem as truths. Did you know 45% of gamers are women? You kinda gotta be at home to play video games. Here’s another thought, more women stay at home than men for child-rearing. If you spent all day every day at home with kids wouldn’t you want to get out of the house? Hell, even I would and I’m the definition of a homebody.
This seems to be true of a lot of the opinions you’ve shared. Is slipping money in a stripper’s g-string emotional or logical because men do that more than women? Is committing suicide emotional or logical because men do that more than women? Is that boot PFC asking the first girl to touch his pee pee emotional or logical because I can promise you it’s male Marines doing that dumb shit more than the females? So on and so forth.

I’ve watched my best friend systematically ruin every single relationship hes been in. He has no reputable coping skills, he does take accountability, meanwhile he doesnt care. He flirts with other women, then gets inside his own guilt ridden head and convinces him the women are doing the same thing, he has no aspirations, he turns to alcohol to numb all of the drama he ultimately starts.
All accumulating to him truly thinking that he has never done wrong. Hes not lying to himself, he just actually believes all of his decisions make sense.
So when a guy generally dislikes women and attacks them, or generalizes relationships, I typically dont follow that bullshit.
There are some straight up cunts out there. Hell, there are a lot of them. But they are in no way worse than any guy I’ve met.

ok there’s some problems in your post.
First, homebodies are different than hibernating, or at least I don’t think the term applies here. Homebodies are usually women that don’t like to go out and party, or drink at bars and stuff like that. That doesn’t mean they are content sitting at home for long durations of time. My gf is a homebody, she doesn’t have a strong desire to go out with her girlfriends, but that doesn’t mean she’s content sitting at home all day everyday for weeks (which neither am I, just trying to make a point). I could be wrong on the terminology, so don’t shoot me here but that is my understanding of it.
Your 45% of gamers are women is also misleading. We need to define “gamers”. Some people define ‘gamers’ as someone that dedicates a very large portion of their time to mastering a game, or games. Someone that plays candycrush may not be classified a ‘gamer’ by gamers , which Is what I think the women category falls into. Now, sometime ago for marketing purposes people started calling these types of people ‘gamers’ and so the term started to get confusing but it’s more of propaganda by corporations than anything else. Girls, in large part, still do not play or enjoy games like men do, even with that 45% bullshit tag.
I’ve never heard the term hibernating in this context so we’ll call it semantics. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of a person that “hibernates” except the 500+ pound people of TLC…
You’re missing the forest for the trees here. Even if it’s 10%, it’s just an example of the type of women a guy can pursue if they’re looking for the type of person that prefers nights at home over going out.

That’s possible, but journalists, and the gaming industry at large began to use it to boost ‘inclusion’ because women are controlling purchasing power more than ever before. So they wanted that piece of the pie, understandably. Only though women are never going to be interested in games, at large. Yeah, you’ll see more attractive females enjoy games now because of monetary opportunities, popularity increase, and attention, but that goes with any element that can give them that. Unfortunately, with this quest to grab a slice of that sweet sweet female market, the authenticity of the gaming world will suffer for a while. We’re already seeing it, with games not politically correct getting hammered by the press. It’s crazy.
And I think this is why we’re seeing all this weird stuff happening. The whole ‘inclusion’ thing, the hypersensitivity to things where everything is based on how you feel
All this of this is probably happening because of the immense amount of purchasing power women are having in the economy and the corporations as a whole jumping to appease, and market to them.

Historically speaking, from every piece of information I’ve read on this subject, women have always controlled 80% or more of the consumer purchases in this country (US) going back to at least the turn of the 20th Century if not longer.
I’d restructure that sentence to say “women control the vast majority of consumer purchases” … no biggie but women have never been marginalized in terms of consumer purchasing in the US, like ever.
