HanBan...How Do You Train?

I figured I see hanban posting a lot lately so I think we would all like to learn a little more in this regard.

Please let us in on how you train and your progress made this far…

PX, I must say Ive been liking your posts and general attitude as of the last week

Idk if its you that actually changed or me, but I wanted to let you know

so this is a shot at me i take it? i get the feeling you were offended by somthing i wrote?

dont see based on what, since i dont have hub pics, you would want me to tell you how i train…

do explain

I haven’t taken a shot at you. I asked how you train. Why the attitude?

well i could tell you, but this thread is an honor i don’t deserve since i dont have pictures up. there are lots of big guys here with hub pics who should be getting a thread before me:)

I know i don't have much room to talk because i am not far from being a noob but is this really what TNation has become? A bunch of grown men taking shots at each other over the internet. I came to this site to learn shit about lifting weights. Not see a bunch of thread where people with different opinions bash each other.

Personally, I think if you give advice you can have a thread like this…otherwise, why give advice?

Agreed. PX’s ego is much bigger than his physique.

Does this mean only like 5 people on T-Nation are qualified to give advice?

5 star thread.

Will read to grandchildren

There’s experiences and then there’s advice coming from a position of authority. I think there’s a very big difference between relating personal accounts of perceived failures or successes and stating adamantly that ‘this’ is how you do something.

There are some very knowledgeable folks on here, most of whom don’t post as often as they should because it’s not worth the grief of getting into pissing contests. The way I see it, there are two types of people whose comments MIGHT be worth reading: Those with serious educational and scientific credentials to support their beliefs (only a handful of people on here qualify), and those who have proven their knowledge by walking the walk. This entails recognized success via BBing contest, PLing meet, or a universally agreed upon (rare indeed!) great physique.

In the rare occasion you have someone with both qualifications, you listen. That doesn’t mean that no one else can chime in, but the negatives on these forums seem to stem from people whose attitudes outweigh their accomplishments as well as those who argue for the sake of drawing attention to those perceived as such.

I will say that I do personally take notice when someone seems to make a lot of good quality posts over time, but despite the old “you don’t need to be a great athlete to coach” argument, I’m still old school enough in my beliefs that I still like to respect the physique of an author.
