my favorite color is the radio.
This guy is a beast and due to his leverages and form his bench pressing is darn close to his HS flat press.
sorry for the technical difficulties.
Meat, who uploads your videos on youtubes?

His free weight bench was only 2 reps so it doesn’t count… ![]()

Does this thread need to be moved to powerlifting forum?

That may cause legal problems for the sponsors here.
It’s against the law in 22 states to discuss training with “Hammer Strength” in a “Powerlifting” forum.
WTF, Steely. Whose back is that?
Personally I repped my 1rm barbell bench max (365) for 9 on a flat HS machine my bench form is close grip and flat backed and is best described as horrendous, which probably has something to do with it. Still I don’t think the two are comparable for overall pressing strength, a guy doing 350X1 on an HS is a lot weaker than a guy doing 350X1 on a barbell. I would have to see evidence to show me otherwise.
The fact that Doucette is so much stronger with the machine and is an incredibly experienced powerlifter whose bench will be an incredibly efficient motion says to me that the lying HS machine is not even close in terms of difficultly. Saw Doucette lift at the Arnold, mutant is a good title for him.

Shhh! I stole it from some guy in Atlanta this week.
This whole “I train hard and eat a lot” thing is just a cover.

This is a BODYBUILDING FORUM. Unless we are discussing whether this makes his chest huge, it needs to be moved to powerlifting. Why the fuck would anyone care about “difficulty” in relation to bodybuilding?
I use the hammer strength machines because they gave me a chest bigger than the most of the guys ranting about their barbell bench. I don’t do it to test the “difficulty” in relation to doing a barbell bench using a powerlifting style to get it done.
