Recently I have started on barbell hack squats and was wondering if I could get some feedback on if it seems I am doing it right. The muscles the hack squat is tackling most are my calves and the outer parts of my thighs primarily. After this comes my hamstrings and finally lower back, though the emphasis on these two is significantly lower.
I know itās not much to work by, but based on which muscles are worked, I hope it is possible to obtain some feedback.
Thanks for the tip, however your article has been the basis of my learning the barbell hack squat.
There are two things which I can think of which may be of concern, though I am unsure. The bar seems to scrape my calves a far amount, and compared to the example image, my stance seems much closer. Would widening my stance help to work the inner muscles? I have always thought the oppersite happened, though I could be wrong. If neither of these two are of concern, then I shall have to resolve my technique may be out of whack.
