Gymnastics Rings

Alright, so I recently purchased elite rings from ringtraining.com, because I’d like to get a few more fitness goals out of the way (iron cross, levers and planches on rings), as well as ring muscle-ups. Not to mention, ring work is one of the greatest things for upper body functional strength imo.

The problem, however, is that I have nothing inside my apartment to hang it from, so I need to construct something that I can suspend them from. My construction knowledge is very limited, so I wouldn’t mind some feedback from those of you who have had similar home projects.

This is the basic aerial view of what I think I should construct.

The letter H ;p . Basically the side rows will be at ground level supporting the structure, about 4’ in length. And the horizontal dashed row will be about 36 inches long (Rings are supposed to be placed 18" apart I believe, so that gives me some extra room when I’m doing motions on the rings so I don’t hit the sides.

Do you think this part should be longer? or will that suffice?). Connecting these two will be two poles about 10’ tall.

So, is this the best/easiest structure I can construct to do ring exercises on? If not, what would be better. And if so, what materials should I use? And are the dimensions okay?

Thanks for the assistance, I’m so excited to start my ring training.

Note - if anyone has an idea of how to construct a ring apparatus that is easy to take apart/set up, and has adjustable heights - then I will be forever grateful  .
