I often say that loudly in the gym…for funsies =p
Dammit, that’s what I should’ve said today during lockout of my 2nd/last rep of a heavy deadlift!
Most people at my gym dont have a sense of humor though. I remember one time i was rowing 5 plates, then there was an earthquake. Everything started shaking, so i dropped the weight, stoop up and pointed at my partner, and very loudly said “DO NOT ANGER ME!!!” Like 3 people laughed. Everyone else was “too concerned with the earthquake,” or had they ipod in…
Ahahaha that’s fucking hilarious actually.

Hooray for more discrimination! Yesterday was our first day as official members of DFC, I did back and already the complaints are flying in! I wonder if its just me or do people complain about the few other guys who deadlift/rack pull as well? I was informed of this today and the staff member himself said something about Ronnie.

People might train “hardcore” but the location definitely decides how “hardcore” they want to be. I simply choose not to follow them on their ideal.

Congrats for having made a decision, khalid.

I’ve never heard any complaints, yet.
Dude, just add some beef and you’ll be fine.

It’s somehow sad, but: in every gym I’ve (test) trained at, I was given special ‘rights’, so to speak. I’d like to say it happened because of my charming persona, but I’d rather go with it being because I’m more muscular than management / gym trainers and the usual ‘gym rabble’.
There must be a mass:height threshold, somewhere: when I’m training at a new gym (happens a lot due to business trips) even guys bigger than I am treat me with more respect than they grant guys much smaller than myself. Should I grunt (which I very rarely do), nobody would make fun of me. Should someone a lot smaller grunt, he’d be laughed at. Somehow ridiculous, if you think about it, since: from a relative standpoint, he might put in as much effort as I do (or even more).

Double standards abound.

Isnt life grand?

I pay $25 a month for my gym, all hammer strength and iron free weights. Thank God for student discounts.

Thanks for the feedback fatty!

I thought I’d mention the latest development…

The personal trainer who complained about me recently got chewed out by another gym member in the locker room.

Conversation went something like this:
(PT=personal trainer, 5’5 guy, probably 140 lbs, balding and looks like an addict
BG=big fuckin’ dude, last I saw was deadlifting at least 4 plates for reps)

PT: Man, I’m tired of this shit. I have like no fucking clients. I should go back to competing. I just gotta get a little more cut.

BG: Get a little more cut? Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me? The only chance you got is in a kid’s show man, fuck that… you need to eat somethin’ besides carb control (no idea wtf carb control is)

I changed and left. Haven’t seen PT since. lol’d.

@Dixiesfinest

I’d rather pay what I’m paying than be a student again! lol
