Gym Clothes

How many T-shirts and shorts do you have for when you’re at the gym?

I have about 6 or 7 T-shirts I use for the gym and 5 or 6 pairs of shorts.

I’m asking because a helluva lot of people at my gym wear the same stuff every time I see them. They wash the stuff I guess; They don’t smell.

If you wear the same stuff and wash it each night, that’s fine…but wouldn’t you find it odd if almost everyone in your gym wore the same stuff? I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone.

Oh, and most every guy wears muscle shirts. And quite a few have those spandex bike shorts.

That’s all I got. How’s your Saturday?

I have to s of Gym clothes meaning “powelifting” t-shirts an a shit load of basketball shorts but I normally work out in the same 4 or 5 shorts and 6-9 tshirts. No biggie as long as people keep there shit clean.

Now my wraps an straps are 8 yrs old and never get washed damnnnnnnn right

I have multiple pair of the exact same shorts and shirts (in the same color) so to most people it probably looks like I wear the same clothes over and over but I don’t.

typically 3 shorts and 3-4 shirts

I have 20 shirts that all look alike…so when you assume that someone is really wearing the same shit everyday, if they are really serious weight lifters, they are going to simply wear what is most comfortable.

Every pic I’ve taken, while it doesn’t look like it, is with a different shirt even though they are all cut the same.

I have about 5 shirts and 4 pair of sweatpants that I rotate with each other. All are clothing from my days playing lacrosse in college, since I don’t see the point in spending money on “workout clothes”, which are usually far overpriced and are just going to get beat up anyways.

The whole Lululemon thing is amazes me. The fact that people are spending hundreds of dollars on designer sweatpants and sweatshirts is mind boggling, especially since your just going to sweat and destroy the clothing. Props to the company though for crating a cult following and becoming the Gucci or Prada of the workout world.

Most of my shirts are Old Navy “wannabe Underarmour” shirts loose fitting. I doubt any of them cost more than 8 bucks and they have been more durable than any cotton tshirt I ever used to wear.

I can assure you guys that these people I’m taking about didn’t buy multiples.

3 t-shirts and 1 pant, and no, I don’t wash them every time. I’ve been using that pant 4 days a week for 2 years.

Lululemon is the shit. I have shorts from there I bought 3 years ago and they still look brand new. Compared to my Adidas, which are all stretched and ride up my butt when squatting, the quality of Lululemon is excellent. A t-shirt is a t-shirt when it comes down to it, they all get trashed anyways, but for sweats and shorts it’s worth it. Would not pay regular price tho, wait for sale time.

For the gym, I only have two shirts, a pair of shorts, and a pair of pants. That’s it. Since I workout 5-6 days a week and only wash those clothes weekly, I can sort of see where those guys are coming from.

Gym clothes smell funky as fuck as soon as I finish a work out, but if you hang them up somewhere where there’s ventilation or fresh air, they smell fine the next morning. It’s the same thing with towels. You shower daily [or bathe if you’re a ho] but I doubt you have 7 towels. You might argue that you towel your fresh, clean body [no homo] so it’s not the same, but if you don’t shampoo everyday that argument isn’t entirely true.

Plus OP IIRC you’re in an Asian country so a) It may be the norm there, b)You probably feel like you’re in the Twilight Zone whether you’re in the gym or not, and c)Saturday just started here, so there’s no point in asking how it was.

I do not believe you! Adidas is the shit. Riding up your butt during squats indeed. Now I am willing to retract my statements if you send a pic of such riding up of the formentioned shorts.

Occasionally, I find the Nike pro t-shirts on Nike.com for really cheap…around $10-12.

haha last time I posted a video in one of Nards threads it brought out all the old ladies (and I don’t mean the kind of ladies that have an actual vag, I mean the type of guys here that are all sandy by nature) brought out their knitting needles and condoned me for wearing such scandalous clothing. So no pics, I don’t want to ruin another one of Nard’s threads.

That’s a good find then. I guess I meant that I don’t see the point in spending large amounts of money on workout clothes, anything in the $10-$20 seems reasonable to me. It’s those $50-$100 pieces that just seem ridiculous, but to each his own.

I work in the OR, so I’ve ended up with good stock of scrub pants from the long days when I don’t feel like changing, and have actually found them to be pretty good for lifting in.

I lift alone at home. Sometimes I’ll wear the same shit 2x before it gets washed. If I smell, who cares. I’m lifting weights, not socializing.

Oh, and I just wear really old t-shirts or tanktops and cargo shorts.

I keep a pile of old t-shirts or “free with order” shirts. Whatever is old a beat up goes into the pile. Too many holes and its tossed. I usually have to wear long sleeve shirts as well, damn air conditioning. I have six shorts I normally wear to workout it. Fresh duds each workout, except for sweats which I wear till they smell, wash, repeat.

I have a rotation of 5 t-shirts with surf logos (3 with big gaping holes in the armpits.) Also 5 pairs of basketball style shorts. I like to bring some sort of balance to some of the db’s in my gym that wear the full matching spandex outfit.
