I have previously done a large amount of calisthenics but I’m looking to put on some mass. I’ll be leaving for college in about 1.5 months, and plan on doing GVT 2000 once or twice. My plan is to do a 4 week cycle of the GVT 2000 program, take 2 weeks off, then do another 4 weeks. In everyone’s opinion, would this be enough rest between cycles?
As far as supplements go, I'm planning on using ZMA, Tribex-500, Nandrosol, Flax Oil, and a custom protein mix. The cycle I'm looking at is 4 weeks of Tribex-500 at 5 caps 2x a day, 2 weeks off, then 4 weeks back on. Nandrosol would be used 70 sprays 2x a day, for 2 weeks on (1st week of GVT 2000 cycle off), 4 weeks off, 2 weeks on. Protein would be 50g before bed, 100g post-workout.
Once again, in everyone’s opinions, does this look like a good plan. If not, what kinds of changes would you recommend.
Id reccomend this order of priorities 1> nutrition (probably massive eating as it looks like a mass cycle) 2> Robust GVT 2000 training on a 4 day split (training log, training partner if possible) 3> Supplements (optional). I think the supplements represent the margins/poofteenth/rats and mice and can become a major distraction to the fundamental importance of getting 1 and 2 spot on before ANY gains (other than newbie ones) are possible.
I’m planning on doing a massive eating style diet. Since I’m doing this during college, large quantities of food are available thanks to the dorms/cafeterias. As far as the GVT program itself goes, I’m going to follow the program exactly as TC wrote it, 4 day split workouts. I’ll definitely need a training log and a partner should be easy to come by (already know a few guys going to my college).
Basically, just curious to see if 2 weeks is enough rest & if the supplements I’ve lined up look good. I might also add Methoxy-7.
