Not human at all, but, like you said, normal and healthy relationships are not for 100% of people.
In hotelry, graveyard shift, I saw a good share of girls crying because Bum X broke their hearts, only to see the same girls chase Bum after Bum after Bum in the next months/year. Some never learn. Or maybe just too late. Go figure.
Check out the book Influence,the Psychology of Persuasion by Cialdini…there’s a chapter on “social proof” that describes this social phenomenon and what causes people to stand by and take no action. It also gives good suggestions on how to avoid these circumstances if you’re a victim.
Zeb Good points, I agree that using ones head is of most importance. I am in no hurry to die, I just don’t fear it. Obviously one would exhaust all peacfull options first then when all else fails immobilize the aggressor with as much safety for you and the woman as possible.
Doing nothing on the other hand is not an option. If you think to yourself, ehh well someone else will do it. Or I’m in such a hurry or some other excuse, that is all it is, rationalization of your wrongdoing.
I think we are on the same page, internet forums are such a lousy way to fully communicate an idea.

Goldberg’s first post is the most real-life here. all others - dream on. apparently you never faced a gun or knife up your throught youre would have talked quite differently. I’ve never been in a situation where I saw a girl being hurt but I damn sure got shot at and stubbed. I have two scars, on my hand and face, two say that I didnt run but thats cause I was young and stupid (and lucky). If some girl gets stupidly involved with some fucko who keeps beating her she better get out of that crappy relationship.
