As far as wrist wraps go I think 12" is like the smallest size anyone makes. How do you manage to get decent support when it barely goes around your wrist twice or thrice? 18 inch minimum (title of sex tape)

Bulldog/Jap and Wraps
I’ve seen quite a few guys benching big in the 400s and 500s with something close to or a full bulldog/jap grip e.g. Mike Tuchscherer. Keep in mind some of these guys seem to be big, big boned, tall or have big thick wrist joints or some combination thereof.
Some people bull dog with wrist wraps, Tuchscherer himself benches equipped with wraps maybe it doesn’t do much for him but he needs as much wrist support as he can get when lifting equipped.
I’d give the wraps another go but wrap them a bit lower and definitely lower than you would for a more conventional grip. They won’t help as much with jap grip but it can’t hurt to try. If it doesnt work out I think you’ll be safe enough jap grip without wraps at least for another 50kg.
Buying/Upgrading Wrist Wraps
Try and see if wraps do much for you in the first place not just bench tho like squats and deadlifts too. If the wraps don’t do much for you or only a little then upgrading is not worth right now. If they help a decent amount with your lifts than go big or go home (relatively big maybe cos wraps can be pretty expensive).
I’d recommend some big brand IPF approved stuff. In order of increasing price i think it goes Titan, Inzer, Metal, SBD and MarkBell/Slingshot. They are all high quality, IPF approved and used by strong lifters all over. Within the high / > $30-40 price point the costlier wraps arent better than the cheaper ones so pick and choose whatever you like.
Definitely an upgrade on the lower price point wraps tho but not by much and Ima say outright none of them are worth the price cos it’s just a piece of stiff/flexible fabric but if you like to waste money… i mean invest then go ahead.

Nah, Ive seen some 6" wraps… Even some as small as 1"
But 12" is thick and long enough give me enough satisfaction.

If you got two sets with elbow sleeves you could wrap/sleeve/wrap to the shoulder then throw on a sling shot and the bench would probably be good for another 20-50lbs
Bench shirt, one of every flavour of slingshot, elbow wraps, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps.
Protein tub is a few scoops from running out thanks to doing two scoops a day. Might need to visit Protein24/7 again for some sale action.
I catch it on sale 40% off or buy one get one and buy 4-6 tubs. Always on hand. It might be cheaper in the 10lb bags. But I like changing flavors every month or so…
I can get it at 60-70% off rn so might buy another tub to let me half the year. $50 bucks a pop is about enough money that I feel a bit salty spending. I have one tub of Mocha already but since I bought that half he flavours have sold out. Might go another Mocha.

2 Weeks (Almost) Post Injury
It’s about time now to get on the rehab wagon (probably a bit late actually cos I’ve been procrastinating) with symptoms namely pain and tenderness at 0-1/10 and ROM improving almost on its own.
Here’s the plan (nice to write it down somewhere for myself too so I remember what to do)
Early Movement / Warm Up Pre Stretching
Standing Hamstring Curl
Lying Hamstring Curl
BW Romanian Deadlift
Isometric Hamstring Strength
Ranging/Stretching
Various Hamstring Stretches. Will try to keep my back flat and keep it on my hamstring. Will stretch as far as my bad side allows.
Wall Stretch
Seated Forward Bend Stretch
Standing Forward Bend
Stretch via knee extension with hip in flexion
Gym
Romanian Deadlifts when full ROM probably start with 1 plate and progress weight or go for some deficit deadlifts.
Hammy is better. But far from healed. Did some DL yesterday up to 195lbs and backed off. I’ve been doing the Starr/Rippietoe rehab for the hammie. Which means I tourture myself with 25 rep sets of squats. Started with BW. Now I’m up to a set of 55,65,75. You do 3 sets of 25 reps with weights you can handle without reinjury…every day for 10 days. (Supposed to not do any other heavy lifting). Then drop to 15s when you get to 3 sets of 95lbs, move up in weight again and drop to 10s. And after a total of two weeks you are ready to train…
Flava? I’m a chocolate guy. I like the animal whey. Banana cream, brownie batter, all good. Dymatize is really sweet. It’s chololate is good. Peanut butter chocolate is ok too sweet. Vinallia is a good change of pace sometimes.

Last session at Iron Revolution
before moving to Bendigo. Been some good gains here in a few short months.
Said bye to everyone took bloody 20 minutes. Paid for the last session and 1 in advance if/when I come back lol. Hopefully I have a Friday free or something we’ll see.
Probably gonna go with FeelGood Fitness in Bendigo. Kinda cheapish gym with two barbells lol. Better than @duketheslaya ‘s gym at least but no sexy IPF approved calibrated equipment action for a while.
Hamstring symptoms pretty much all gone. ROM improving on its own but another week or two of targeted stretching and light resistance work just to be safe and then into progressively overloading Romanian Deadlifts as both rehab and assistance work for deadlifts.

Benchy bench volume feeling alright today. When I go to Bendigo I’ll definitely miss the comp bench maybe not the rest of the equipment too much or like as much at least.
Tried with and without wraps half the sets still dunno which is better (maybe wrap less just ahead). Probably will hold off on sexi SBD wraps sorry @Kniebuigkoning
Bit inconsistent with where I end up when I slide down the bench during my set up lol also need to take care to keep shoulders in position when reaching for the bar.
Playing with eccentric speed. I think slow doesn’t really work for me. Relatively fast and smooth is bestest.
Pause benching is getting fun and I feel much more comfortable in the bottom half of the movement than ever before.
When I’m going 3x per week in Bendigo there’ll be some close grip bench in there touch and go to train the magical stretch reflex. Does CGB still train the pecs plenty because I’ve heard yes and no from different sources.

Sumo felt terrible last time and same this time lol. Back to volume work and building back up. Trying out some belt work but still feels off like I bend my back where the belt is.

OHP is just about as strong as it ever has been right now (rep Pr at 50kg is 8 or 9) and I haven’t given it much focus either which is nice.
I started Press to get some bench gains mostly but honestly I don’t know if there’s been any carryover lol.
