Hoping to make a proper return this year. I’ll atleast do GPC push/pull. See if can’t hit 280-285 deadlift on a platform…

Crazy! How are you finding the transition to weightlifting?

Luckily I can learn technique really quickly. That part is the same, but humbling as I have a lower total then I want at the moment.

It’s gonna be a fun journey and I found out that they have some meets they have total requirements outside of nationals as it’s for a selection team for either a provincial team or national team. On top of it, there is a direct line to make the Olympic team.

Nice, you’re got this! Looking forward to the recap.

MEET RECAP

Had a great time, good fun with the peoples and met new peeps at my first meet.

Went 7/9, hitting a 667.5kg total via 255/142.5/270kg. Missed 150 Bench and 280 DL 3rd attempts. 2nd place U100 class tho I had no idea what my competitors were lifting until the medal ceremony

I always want more but for once I’m satisfied. That being said I am hungrier than ever for the gains after that experience.

If ur interested in more detail and the play by play there’s a highlight on my Insta called “first meet” where I complain about the judging and shit. I can see why people say meets never go according to plan there’s always something

I’m grateful to be part of a great community and to have met so many amazing people through powerlifting. Thanks for your support too guys. Every lil bit helped

Next goals: rediscover my deadlift mojo / 300kg and get bigger and stronger, building a bigger base than ever before.

I dunno when the next comp will be but we will pick one out probs toward the end of the year. I’ve been invited to ProRaw which is a big event in about 2 months but the timing doesn’t quite work out doesn’t give me much time to build anything and not sure there’s much more here to peak
