Money in it is already reserved for other shit. There’s always after pay though…

Orr become a stripper? Them chick’s at the gym mirin will rain the $5 notes while you in them tights
When you want to deadlift a car sumo but the height of the pull means your start position is your lock out position…

41 degree Celsius day in Melbourne or 105.8 Fahrenheit for you guys with weird units of measurement. Still wearing tights because sexiness more importanter than avoiding heat stroke
Here’s the plan. Cheap Asian coconut water with lots of added sugar should carry me through.
Fans going full blast in Iron Revolution but I’m sweating the fuck up putting on my shoes.
Cool change and sea breezes on the way so we’ll see if things cool down in time to help the workout.
Squat
155kg x 4,3,3,3 Rep PR
Felt heavy but hit the rep PR and a couple of sets of 3 for a volume PR too. Probably could have gone for more but didn’t feel like getting greedy. Squats not feeling that groovy overall but gains are gains.
Front Squat
100kg x 5,5,5,5
Nothing special more reps more volume. Lifetime rep PR still a long ways away but incoming. Still waiting for that carryover…
Bench
87.5kg x 6,7,7,7,7
Hot day = bench in flip flops.
Weight upped to 87.5kg but given the heat took off the shoes and took it easier with some volume. Bench felt meh today so right choice. Rep PRs another time no biggie.
OHP
40kg x 10,10,10,10
Starting to feel a bit grindy on the last few reps so might up the weight next time around.
Sumo Deadlift
195kg x 3,3,3,3
Completely fucked by the time deadlifts rolled around but it’s easy work planned so it’s k.
Upping the weight and dropping the reps again with 195kg. Every time I add weight it feels disproportionately heavy and it does that slow first rep bull shit and since this is the first time working with 195kg technically no rep PRs
Working on locking my knees more deliberately/harder/faster with my quads and locking out as low as possible to reduce ROM. Also to look like Yury Belkin and that knee snapping shit he does lol. I can feel it in my quads for sure… not sure if that’s a good thing or not.
Seems like I have to do it deliberately or else I get it inconsistently. Is it better this way or doesn’t do much good? Would appreciate opinions from everybody on this (mostly from @Vincepac1500 though)
Overall decent sesh but can’t help but feel the conditions took a bit off it. Also skipped all accessory work but don’t tell coach. Oh well will smash next session then
Surely that means its a guaranteed PR? gone from 195 x 0 to 195 x 3?
Unless you have done 3 reps at a higher weight before?
It’s just a bit cheap to call it a rep PR is all.
When you want to come off tough and hardcore but you’re a guinea pig
This may be a worth a separate post to the whole forum but I think it boils down to a few things:
Umm… looks better/cooler. I think it’s more important to be thinking about what feels better for and you are stronger with tho this is powerlifting after all. IMO its worth giving it a go. Try doing a set one style and the next set the other way and see which felt easier.
Thanks will make a new thread.
Also guinea pigs are tough and hardcore by nature…
They also taste delicious
Almost makes me want to go vegan tbh… um like guinea pig vegan? Nvm meat is too yummy

Took me five days to read this entire log, but I’m officially caught up and feel as though I’m allowed to like things and comment. So, for my inaugural comment:
GuineaPig’s Training Log > other threads!
Thanks.
I’ve seen you in khangles gif dump but I know nothing about you. Are you a bodybuilder Powerlifting or a meme/GIF?
I’m not sure if I’m a real boy of a GIF…maybe both?
More seriously, I’m into bodybuilding. Though, back around Christmas, my life began changing a lot (engagement = rearrange your schedule for her; buying a house = rearrange your schedule even more; possible career change = do I even have time to lift?) so I decided to do some powerlifting stuffs to lower volume and get more from less gym visits. 'Twas a good idea; landed on this gym of a thread because of it!
A rep PR is a rep PR
