GuineaPig’s Training Log - Hunt 300 Deadlift

Soo still no good

More slow cook action. Classic meaty stew with beef cheek this time around.

Lot of assessment tasks due. High stressi. Training taken a hit and I’ve skipped one or two sessions. Hopefully squeeze a squat sesh in tomoz.

You aren’t going to lose gainz in 2 days. Don’t stress piggy.

No I’m weak and fat now.

Still crushed by assignments but got in a decent squat sesh. Hit PR in wraps 210kg. Bit slow on account of fatigue, hesitating on the descent and trying to sink it deep but it’s progress in the right direction. 6x5 light high bar back offs. We building. Gotta stay disciplined not overshoot, staying in the pocket.

Road to 5 biscuit squat still on. Hip strength is me limiting factor so I’ll keep working that. Cut some squats high in training in sleeves Recently nvm wraps so is this comp depth @chris_ottawa @Pinkylifting? Thnx in advance lads ima hit the studies now.

Hmm might do a cycle of box squatting to make me stronger in the hips. Mate’s home gym recently got a decent box and we already got the monolift to make it easy. Before I know it we’ll be throwing on bands and chains and going full westside.

The fact the camera is tilted makes it lookd deeper than it is at first glance. I can’t tell exactly where your hip crease is with the shirt but I would say just slightly above parallel or maybe parallel at best. Maybe tuck your shirt in next time if you want us to judge for you.

Ur killing me here big fella. I’ll try go deeper

I kinda wanna throw on some wraps on again for the fun off it soon (ish)… Been almost 2 years since i last had some on.

Why do you like wraps over sleeves?

I vote pass (you have me a pass on my obviously high squat, seems only fair!).

I don’t actually like wraps because they are bit of a bother. I get a bit out of them but since I’m limited by my posterior chain/hip extension not as much as lifter who are limited by they quads. For dem it’s much different

I will end up competing in them though so even if sleeves squatting is the priority rn still throw em in every now and then.

Hehe all according to plan

What kind of sleeves do you recommend?

Just replied to ur log lel. Probably not SBD if u wanna save money. Not too familiar with the range u have access to but anything as thick as SBDs (which is most sleeves) will do the job

I agree with @chris_ottawa it is hard to see from this angle. At first watch I thought a little high. When I paused it at the lowest point I thought maybe a pass depending on the judges.

In SPF it would pass, otherwise you’re just counting on the judges to be lenient. It could work, but it’s a gamble.

It’s aight in Australia everything’s casual including powerlifting judging

Everything except COVID lockdowns.

If you went 2 inches deeper it would pass in most meets. It’s very close, and it still counts as a training PR in my book.
