Ye. Today had up to a pause single at 177.5kg. Rounded up of course. Compared how it moves compared to my best performances or estimated best performances if I don’t have that.

Have you thought about adding squatting gear?

Are we talking about geared lifting like briefs or what not? Haven’t thought about it. I wanna get bigger and stronger. Lifting more weight is a fun way to do that. Dunno if gear helps that much. Maybe one day I’ll play around but plenty I gotta do first like the first meet a bit of strongman

I have done a partial with 1k. Used to do walkouts with that plus on a regular basis when Yoke was in an upsoming contest. The biggest difference for me came from groove briefs. I have a serious Inzer suit, a few different kinds of wraps, variety of stuff. Raw I had a 650 no,no, no. Suited with wraps (No briefs) 850. I could box squat 585 I think. The groove briefs were the easiest thing to manage and gave nice instant help towards the end of a heavy training cycle. Heavy is heavy. 1k doesn’t feel any different than 850, 1RM is 1RM. But when 1k is the top, 850 feels a lot lighter.

Yes. The bottom half of a suit is also sold by some places. The briefs I have don’t have legs, they fit more like tighty whiteys - which is better if you are putting a suit on over them.

It’s only cheating if it’s against the rules. Strongman has a distinct lack of such rules.

I’ve yet to see a bloke walk out for a squat event wearing three suits, briefs and 5m knee wraps with knee sleeves on top of em

I did the walkouts in shorts, and the partial too. But I did use them in training for some stuff and in competition when allowed. Because, being natty was already giving away a lot of advantage.

Ordered this in April. Kinda half forgot about it: the StrongArm Sport Power Bar. Gonna compare too me current stiff bar and then donate the worse one the local gym im tight with. Also got in cables/pulleys

Chill bench day. Got to use me new goodies though. StrongArm sport bar is nice. Probably heavy squats will be able to see/feel a difference but bench not much. Cable triceps extension to finish. The cable is kinda long for my midget rack so have to stand back a bit

Messing around with the cables. They only exert resistance in certain directions but still getting lot of use out of em. I can add some movements to the menu:

High Rows
Cable Flyes
Face Pulls
Straight Arm Pull Downs

Some arm wrestling stuff too for biceps and forearms

Shit day of sumo deadlifting. Think I’m not very well recovered overall recently. Could be a lot of things.

Busted out the new stiff bar to hit some conventional deadlifts for kicks. Haven’t pulled just straight mixed grip conventional deadlift in a long time. Felt heavy, ROM felt like triple and the bar’s knurling was probably too aggressive for my liking. Worked up to a triple at 190 heaviest triple I’ve done conventional. Sumo definitely easier. 100% cheating.

FWIW I think double is closer lol
