The trick is saying “particularly well”
We are aware of the nature of the traps you lay.
Complacency is the real trap…

Is it weird I read this post in Morgan Freemans voice?
Nope, because that was sorta what was in my head at the time.
The weird thing is that is was in both your heads!!
Well, maybe you’ve noticed he and I are never in the same room at the same time?
Overshot a bit today on deads. I’ve too much ego to have @kckfl349 deadlift more than me so worked up to a Rep PB: 250kg x 6 ~ 550 freedom units. Not my smartest action ever but got away with it me back injury is in the past now as long as I’m smart overall/chronically.
Most I’ve pulled without bumpers and beats me bumper plate rep PB (doesn’t really count because I hit that at RPE 6 working up to my 270kg double a few months ago).
Probably gonna be smashed the next few days to a week lol but solid indicator of progress towards beating my meme/bumper plate deadlift numbers on calibrated plates.
Longer term when I get in me first meet hopefully pull high 200s.
Pretty sexy lifting. Sumo but still sexy.
I’ll probably be crushed next deadlift sesh anyways so I’ll only do conventional variations just for you
Sumo or no, I am very jealous of that starting position your body allows.
It does the job. I need do few minutes of mobility work to get into these positions comfortably.
There’s a lot of freaks with mobile hips around who take it to the next level. Maybe when I do my comp blocks I’ll push positioning a bit more with frequent mobility work but for now just happy getting stronger
Damn incredible! What’s your max right now? Aiming for the 300?
Your ROM is outstanding ahahah that would be high block pull for me
Also nice choice of music
This is the heaviest weight I’ve lifted outside of bumper plates ever for a single or otherwise so technically this is my best and for 6 reps which is nice. I consider bumper plate deadlifts as a separate movement best on em was 250kg x 3 with a couple in the tank and 270kg x 2.
My rep capacity is disproportionately good so me max is probably around 265-270kg rn. Me next target is my first powerlifting meet but with COVID restrictions hanging around for a while might be early next year so it’s a quite a bit of time to push with. I doubt i’ll make it to 300kg by then on calibrated plates but I’ll take what i can get.
I went wider with the stance a few months ago and it’s been decent gains since. Definitely towards the reducing ROM side of the spectrum and theres room to push it more but i don’t think i’ll go there because it’s trading leverage for that extra reduced ROM. Might throw in narrow stance sumos as an accessory at some point.
Only for the weak by in flames has been me go to song for a few months since a friend introduced me.
Man you had more in you… I dont know how well your rep capacity translates to top end, but no doubt in my mind you could pull 280-290 right now.
By then no, but I’m sure you’ll get 300 someday ahah. Amazing!
That’s maybe a bit much lol but yeh it’s promising. Thanks for pushing me brah
Ye is pretty cool. Last year wasn’t sure 260 would ever happen and now here we is. Just enjoying the ride.
gotta strive to be better… those reps were insanely fast though.
