Thnx lads. I appreciate ur support like Goku getting energy for his spirit bomb
Not sure what that means, but glad to help build a bomb!
Hopefully it’ll translate into calibrated places and vice versa. 300kg on the cheat deadlift set up one day. See y’all in a few years
I got the reference brah.
That was about as easy as I figured it’d be. Awesome job, crazy power. 280’s already there.
Nice work. All those Romero videos and ballet slippers have really paid off.
Looked easy, like you could do at least 3 more reps.
I have issues with my right pec getting tight now and then, I think aside from benching it’s due to a combination of sleeping with my right arm outstretched (for some reason I often end up like that) and having a job where I use my right hand most of the time. I have this massage stick thing called Theracane that I use to dig into the pec and loosen it up, sometimes it starts twitching and then the tightness just disappears. Something like that could work, or maybe a lacrosse ball or similar, put it against the wall and lean on it with your pec. You could also try some other blunt object like a screwdriver handle, you could use your fingers but it’s kind of hard on them I find.
Will try. Thnx big fella
They really have lol. Psychological support support from Romero has been game changing
Ima tape up my hand and try squat/bench tomoz. Should be OK. Wish me luck.
Feeling alright given just hit a max deadlift session back isn’t fried and whole body fatigue isn’t really high. Went quite smoothly and relatively low RPE probably why. Time to keep on working.
Surely the first test for your hand will be next time you try to pull something. Just use an entire roll of tape, you’ll be fine.
I ain’t pulling anything. I’m a little bitch so I’ll avoid pain as long as possible. Feels much better today so hopefully is just goes the way of other skin injuries and heals up quick.
I remember the last time I had a similar injury, and it took a couple weeks before I felt like pulling anything again. Because I, too, am a little bitch. I guess guys doing strongman stuff are dealing with this stuff all the time, they give no fux.
Sounds kinda counter productive. If ur hands tear up often ur holding yourself back from going hard and making more gains. Not interested in being hardcore or many or some bullshit either.
That is how I see it as well. I got the injury doing a challenge from an article here (how many times can you deadlift 140 within 30 minutes or soemthing). Was a great challenge, but counterproductive ultimately just because of a nasty tear on my hand. So I will never do that one again.
That’s whats straps for lol. Most I’ve done is like 10k volume in as little time as possible. Did like 120kg for many reps conventional. Hands were tender for sure but at least a chunk didn’t come out of it
Straps are for babies.
Well I mean Eddie hall and hafthor have been acting like big babies
Exactly. Are they babies because they use straps, or do they use straps because they are babies?
I think the main thing why strongmen appear to be more hardcore than powerlifters is that we compete a shit ton more often! You get used to working through pain and niggles because comp season is rolling and you gotta show up. I have seen people compete with some nasty injuries and I have gone into comps myself when I was injured. That is undoubtly counter productive in the long run, I’m not trying to argue with you two, just offering an explanation. Strongman is a small community and if you bitch out from a comp that you originally registered for, word gets around. As childish as that might sound. Although you really have to check yourself sometimes because it’s a slippery slope to an early career end if you push your body too far.
