Yeh was really surprised actually. Hoped for a PR single @ RPE 8 best case but exceeded that by a lot. Moved quick on film and felt smooth in the execution.

5 plates/220kg doesn’t seem to far away now.

Im there with you on the 220KG. Im def moving into flats/wraps after august. Maybe 220 will be there at the end of august in sleeves with the way im getting pounded on quad accessories twice a week now.

Kaleb was the original influence for me switching out of heels and it’s taken a while to pay up but it’s going places. Last couple of sessions have had great success in the implementing cues about getting the hips back under me ASAP (having sat back a smidge during the descent). Because I’m quad dominant I stick midway up as the hips lag behind in the locking out so this way less stick = bigger squat

U out squat me for now but u better watch out. *hits most muscular guinea pig pose

I’d like to get on some 45 degree back raises to build up my newfound hip drahve pattern. Phat ass phat squat. High bar will do me for quads. Road to 500 hundo

High fatigue day coming off the psychological and physical high of a big squat sesh.

Felt pretty fatigued on deadlifts worked up to singles @ 210kg and some rows to finish up. Wasn’t really able to work on technique because everything felt shitty with fatigue seemingly messing with strength and technique.

Last week of the semester and some big assessments due. Gonna chill on lifting and finish the semester strong and go big again the week after.

Mid deload so not super keen to smash some weights but these little guys are exciting. Next block starts up after deload. Gonna hit a light sesh on Sundi then rest until mid next week to start smashing it again during my semester break.

These slippers are going to be fun. Luckily they are offered in pretty small sizing which is why I went with them over Bearfoot Athletics Ursus which start at 7.

With feet that small and arms that big, how do you not topple over :joy::joy:

They kind of look like Power Ballet slippers.

Sumo deadlifting is the equivalent of ballet in the strength world

Apparently there’s some kind of shoe that are close to forget which. Uppers not leather so water resistant and bottom is grippy so maybs boat shoes I dunno.

Sounds like 100% positive connotations to me

It wasn’t meant specifically negative.

But the comparison holds: i look at it, and it’s graceful, it’s technical, I sure can’t do it and look at how thin they are! But… At the end of the day - they are wearing a tutu.

Deload pause squats. Near equal PB @ 150kg. There’s a lot of PRs to be milked in this squat variation but that’ll have to wait until start of next block. Deloading hard next few days and then back at it.

I’m keen to push squats. Low key having handled 200kg I feel like a mental barrier has fallen. Guinea pigs are scared of many things but this one ain’t intimidated by the squat at least sub 200kg
