First time taking the Notorious Lift slippers for a spin too. Almost forget because they weren’t spectacular in any way. Not too bad a thing to be fair. With regular slipper didn’t have any issues with grip/slip or lateral support so I guess it more of good action and probably a bit more durable is all.

Used a 25% off Maccas coupon today so funny timing but I wanted to post up here that ima drops some kgs for the next training block or two even if that slows down gains. Been feeling like I’m forcing it for weeks to stay heavy is uncomfy but it’s been very productive but can’t go forever.
I’m aiming for at least a 600kg total for my first meet and I’m already about there so it’s as good a time as any to drop some weight. Then a little bit of a weight gain phase to be around about the weight class in the 80 something kilo range though IDGAF about being competitive or relative strength. As long as I’m stronger/more jacked than ever

I want to compete at 90 this year so won’t be dirty bulking yet. Maybe after Vic states I will have a red hot go at 100!!
When I first started lifting 100kg seemed like a lot of weight but it’s not super far now. I’m pretty fat now so I think it’s diminishing returns in a lot of ways fro here. Just drop back and build up over and over again. Upper limit might be mid 90s for me unless I use some Russian sports supplements.
Limit depends on how much you care about aesthetics and being competitive in your weight class.
So if you’re not a whuss, the sky is the limit.
100kg is like mega obese. Probs take years off ur life to be up there for too long

Had a bit of fun pushing out my deadlift stance. Doesn’t feel half bad and I enjoy the cheating. Worked up to 210kg as wide as my stance could go. My hips and balance isn’t quite there for a true plate to plate stance but I don’t think it’d take too much work to get there tbh. Tempted to move the stance out for kicks

Ima use wide stance experimentation as a way to self limit my lifting and stay on track. But if mobility work and practice and it should be at a plate to plate stance on a deadlift bar or near at least.
Relatively low volume approach continues. Sheiko AI gives me relatively low volume anyway but I can always cancel a set. Maybe a top set for accessories or two or lighter movements.
If you learn how to do the splits, you can just do sumo that way. All you have to do is shrug your shoulders while holding the bar for the lift to count.
And surely you are already 100 kilo, man. Time for an intervention up in here.
I’m enjoying thicc life not gonna lie. I don’t need no intervention to drop weight. Just discipline. Which i lack. But meh

Also loving the notorious lift slippers a lot more today. They’ve stretched out some and more room in the forefoot is usually better for lifting. They are getting better with time… I guess I am obligated to buy a pair of black/black ones when they restock ![]()
