Never been an option not to progress I guess. Stay tuned
Saw horses would do it
you just killed @MarkKO log, beware he might hunt you down and kill you
I’ve seen you can get attachments to some racks.
If you can figure out a way to secure the pipes, it could work out.
What’s he gonna due spam 5k posts to kill my log? Fite me.
My rack is like a shitty supermarket generic rack so I doubt accessories are on the table. What happens if I don’t secure two lengths of pipe? Like push them up against the sides
yes push them against the sides, if it’s not becoming to wide
OR get a pair of gymnastic rings and do dips on those, it’s pretty hard.
Fixed that for you.
GymnasticHamster can do it easily
I dunno. What makes it harder exactly?
the instability of rings hanging from the sealing.
Makes it a bit tricky and will make all those little shoulder muscles scream
My mates deadlift bar is the most rusted barbell I’ve ever seen. It’s like a crime against humanity to let such a nice bar go to shit. Dunno if I’m OCD or something but I feel to urge to clean it up
Just needs a good wire brush mate. Get the grinder on it
Got the gear at home just not in Bendi
Edit I’ll see if I can get brass/bronze brush hopefully it’ll be enough to get it looking passable
Dropped by Supercheap auto to get some supplies to clean my barbell. Just a trial run on mine in preparation for tackling my mates rustier bar. Tbh looks about the same before and after: extra sexy.
Fancied some back extension while gyms are still closed up and after a quick brainstorm doing them off my bench (probably set it to incline a bit) and having someone sit on my legs will do the job
Yeah, just getting up into the starting position will have your arms shaking just trying to gain stability.
Be careful about doing dips on anything not secure, Hamster. I could easily see a pipe suddenly sliding off in either direction, and I would not risk whatever that my do to your shoulder. Especially if it was weighted.
Wish me luck lol
Last Bendigo sesh at mates home gym. First time using squat stands and was little bit nervous going in but turned out alright.
Worked up to squat singles at relatively high percentages of 1RM and felt comfortable. 180kg is the heaviest I’ve squatted in sleeves since back injury which is a boost to the confidence. For once squats felt better than they looked on camera.
High bar for higher reps also feeling great. Reps on low bar wide stance flats is pretty shitty but high bar pumping them out feels natural. Definitely plenty of gains to be milked there and already starting on the brink of rep PB territory. Gains to be milked over the coming cycle.
Best part of the session was cleaning up mates deadlift bar. Was triggering me having a beautiful piece of kit poorly maintained like that. Got most of the chalk and rust off with what I had but the deeper/harder set rust is probably gonna need a power tool.
Had a feel of it again and I don’t think it’s super sharp at least compared to other deadlift bars I’ve be used @MarkKO. Too sharp is shitty anyway can’t hook grip it and sharpness isn’t necessarily better grip.
Great job on the deadlift bar.
And well your squat looked awesome… It might have been a smudge high if it was competition. But you whole setup and tightness when you squat is something I envy. It’s sexy
