Guess My Body Fat

5’8, 165#, 40yo

Looking at a guestimate for body fat.

Thanks

Skinny

I can’t see a shoe.

Jokes aside, I’d say 10-15%. Pictures are very inaccurate.

I completely understand the allure of wanting to know this number, but myself and many others on this board have come to the conclusion that its completely meaningless.

What would it do for you if I told you it was 14% and that was dead on accurate?

What if I said 11%?

How about 18%?

How would any of those numbers, given that they were accurate, change the way you do anything?

The only real meaningful thing that can be said about your bodyfat level is are you happy with where its at? If you are, great. If not, diet and exercise harder until you are.

This 100%. BTW, as a 40 yr old, you will look leaner at a higher percentage anyway than someone 18 yrs old because you will be carrying more visceral fat. That’s just the way it is.
