On a side note. Just found out that one of the guys at my gym who I have squatted with before is a top level NPC bodybuilder. He came in 8th in the light-heavyweight division at Nationals and won the NC State Championship in '09. His dad who works at the gym has won the Nationals Masters as well. The dad told me he is excited that I am competing and can’t wait to see what I look like. That was my motivation for the day.

Whats up fellas,
I am down to 182 lbs. Drop of 6 lbs in 3 weeks with RJ. Feeling great. Strength is going up.
new macros Macros: low- 225p/215c/65f Normal-190p/300c/60f High-155p/400c/45f
My HIIT sessions will be go from 12 intervals to 15 and I will be doing it twice a week (up from once).
I have 14 true weeks left + 1 peak week. Time to really push through.
For those of you that like food porn.
Homemade mexican pizza. Macros: p/c/f 100g/160g/30g for the whole pizza.
100 days out…can’t help but feel I have a shit ton of work ahead of me. Makes me excited, nervous, anxious, and pumped all at the same time.

That’s what I’m talking about! It’s fun getting creative with hitting your macros :). I hear ya on your feelings about being 100 days out. Keep getting after it and believe in yourself and your coach, it’s gonna be quite the ride these next few months once you start seeing new cuts, veins, and striations on a weekly, sometimes even daily basis

That’s exactly how you should feel. : )
RJ and I talked about considering another show that is slightly further out than originally planned. Got me a little bummed.
Good news is that bad news almost always makes for PRs.
245 x 6 on the bench last night (couldn’t quite lock out the 7th rep). Rep PR.
While I know that isn’t that strong I was excited because my first week I was only able to do 235 x 6. So in a month I have increased my 6rm by 10 lbs. On top of that I did it @ a BW 8 lbs lighter. I saw the same increase in my OHP (+15 lbs).
from sunday. Not particularly happy but no reason to sulk and bitch. Just means I have to work harder.
Definitely looking a lot leaner man keep it up!
Looking good Grizz, hamstring separation is coming out! I would talk to RJ about possibly using the originally planned show as a “warmup” for a second show. If it’s financially feasible to do multiple shows, it’s great to have two chances to compete. After so much work during prep, it’s worth it to not have just one day for it to all pay off. Also, your first time competing you’ll have things you wish you had done differently and things you’ll learn. Why wait another year or more to have another chance? Doing two shows would also allow you to not have to rush conditioning for the first one, and have the second be the one that you really peak for
