Thats about it. Nothing more, nothing less.

A failing marriage, inability to communicate with people around him for several years, midife crisis working at a McDonalds at 40 on low income, family emergency - and the walkman argument was the last straw.

Sometimes people snap…many countries have had riots where regular joes have committed unspeakable acts (videos of average people cutting a pregnant woman open and burning the fetus are around)…why does this shock us?

And? If things aren’t going your way you fucking deal with it. You don’t cut somebody’s head off with a knife.
Rather than cut his head off, you use the knife to cut the wires on his earphones and then you stick the knife into the arm rest between you with a heavy “thunk” - all the while looking directly into his eyes. Odds are pretty good that he will now leave you alone.

I did find a few links, will try looking for them. What I related was communicated to me by a few people who might be in the know.

He brought the knife with him on the bus, and you think that circumstances on the bus are what provoked the attack? Everything I read said that McLean was asleep, head leaning against the window, got a link to something that says otherwise?
All I’ve read said that he sat up front on the bus for an hour, got off at a stop for a cigarette, came back on and moved his bags next to the sleeping kid. 30 minutes later he starts stabbing him. Even if the music was loud and the kid was awake, why would you move TOWARDS music that is already irritatingly loud?

People like his should be used as human test subjects by pharmaceutical companies.

This is a marketing oppotunity. Now GreyHound can offer a new kind of trip payment.

“No charge if you don’t reach your destination.”

I am sure it will help boost passenger rates after this negative episode.

Too soon…

…don’t you know it takes 22.3 years for something to be funny

Personally, I wouldn’t have this guy killed if I had the chance.
Killing someone out of revenge or “justice” doesn’t solve anything. I’m sure people would love to talk shit and say that they would kill this guy, but that would all change when you have a gun in your hands.

And yeah…
He does look like Ash Ketchum. (I think that’s how you spell it)
Killing worthless trash like this does a lot. Less taxes spent or crap like him, and it makes sure he won’t do it again. And no it wouldn’t change if I had a gun in my hands. He would receive the lead he deserves and I would actually sleep better at night knowing I did society a favor.

If you want to be a pussy so be it…don’t think others are anything like you.

As sick as I think this I still have it on the same level as if he had just made it one shot one kill with a gun. I mean I know what he did was really fucked up but I do believe in desensitizing. After you see shit like a Saw movie and Hostel 1 this shit is just not disturbing enough.

I hate those movies, and think they never should have been made, it provokes thoughts that should lay dormant forever. AND its to easy for children to see those movies. Honestly murdering anyone with intent or because you’re insane should instantly deserve the death penalty. The only thing that would be between me and the trigger for these assholes would be God.

My solution? Leave them in a room with no food, no toilet, no anything but a cyanide pill. Leave the room out in the public, then place the blame on everyone who wouldn’t open the door for him.

YOu actually think movies like thisd are in any way responsible for perpetration of such shcking crimes? I suppose no one received a blowjob till the first porn movie/spank mag was released either.

I repeat, people snap…really. Instead of analyzing this shit, stupid canadians should punish the guy and close the investigation (capital punishment)… then get a few asian student groups to denounce the incident publicly to avoid potential hate crimes against certain ethnic groups…compensate the parents and family financially, set up a foundation/memorial in the kid’s name and move on.

There was cannibalism involved.

This will piss you guys off even more:

A church that once employed the man charged with attacking and beheading his seatmate on a bus in Canada last week says it plans to offer support to the accused and his wife.

I wonder for how long the Church would be willing to give up all donations to support the suspects family and pay for his legal fees. Then, we’ll see the true meaning of ‘support.’

I admitt that society is becoming desensitized, but it is NOT because of slasher films and gross out movies. It is because people get killed everyday…like that has happened since the dawn of time. The only difference now is there are more people…so more deaths…and we have mass communication, so we see it more often. 100 yrs ago or even 50 yrs ago we prob would have never even heard about this incident. People are just dumb if they blame societies problems (which have been around forever, i.e. murder and insane people) on other sources.

SAW isnt meant for children. If it was it would have a PG rating. It is meant to entertain mature adults who understand the concept of fiction. People know this is not real and not actually occuring to a real person. It is a story, just like in a book or oral story (guess you wanna get rid of those too). It is meant to be a source of enjoyment to people, not cause of the acts they see, but because the “rush” they get from being scared. I bet your one of those nuts that blame murders on video game violence too…

I just think it is fucked up and hypocritical to be bashing movies for being violent, then you say you want to see the same thing happen in real life. YOu wanna see somebody locked in a room so they starve and shit all over the place while the public gets to see them struggle and make the decision to kill themselves, sounds a lot like a SAW movie to me…
