Welp. I watched this, and was reminded of Pax Beale saying something about bodybuilding being full of Damon Runyon characters.

He explained how Ray and Mike Mentzer trained from his direct observation and being friends with them.Its different than what most people think.Thanks for posting it.

My spontaneous first impression was that Gregg somehow reminded me of Jackie Gleason as sheriff Buford T Justice. Also, Iā€™ve always had a hard time listening to people rambling, who never gets their point. Thirdly, why listen to a severely dysmorphophobic guy who appearantly is a synthol addict? Not my role model. He simply canā€™t be trusted.

You guys are harsh! Gregg is a National treasure! Heā€™s a funny dude and a good storyteller! He also was in the Bodybuilding scene, hanging out with the big names in the ā€˜70s so heā€™s got a lot of cool and relevant experience.

I agree ā€¦ love listening to these guys who were actually there during those times. He can be a little crude for me sometimes ā€¦ especially when there are women on the same podcasts ā€¦ but his stories from first hand experience are entertaining.
