Grab and Go Breakfast

I used to get up early everyday and have an egg white omelete or an oatmeal pancake. However, I was getting 7 hours or less of sleep. I am shooting to get 8 hours now, but won’t have the time to cook anymore. Any suggestions for breakfast (this is also pre-workout meal.) Today I had a cliff bar and sugar free energy drink. Any good supps out there that are desinged for pre-workout that combine Caffiene and all the essential nutrients.

Thanks.

prepare your breakfast the night before.

I’d recommend grabbing some fruit (apple, grapes, blueberries, etc) and some whey or milk. It works for me. As far as stimulation, just pop a Spike as soon as you wake up.

I keep whole wheat wraps and sliced beef, turkey, cheese, etc. and make a quick sandwich I can eat in the car. That and a piece of fruit and you’re good to go.

Another quick breakfast is a blended protein drink. Add ice, water, MD, PB, frozen fruit, ground flax, and whatever else you like. Blend it up. Dump it in a big mug and head off to work.

Some good protein powder, natural peanut butter, oats and fruit in the blender. This works great for me when short on time as a temporary replacement for a good solid breakfast.

this is the way to do it. throw everything into the blender and your good to go in about five minutes tops. try 2 cups of milk, 2 scoops of protein, 1-2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter, and a banana. it is about 750-800 clean calories to start your day off.

Try hard boiled eggs in the morning, obviously cook them in advance.

Sandwiches or wraps are awesome grab-and-go food. Something like Metabolic Drive or Myoplex Original with some fruit and healty fats are great too.

My breakfast, four scoops of Metabolic Complete in 12 oz. fat free milk, one tablespoon of Greens Plus in shake and a cup of blueberries if Vanilla. If Chocolate Metabolic Drive then I nix the blueberries. within a half hour one apple.

If it’s pre-workout also, try the Defranco Energy Bar, 28g protein, 115mg caffeine, and 1800 mg L-Tyrosine, you will have awesome workouts, I promise you, but they might be a little expensive to use every day.

I third this idea and the ingredients. It takes me longer to drink my daily breakfast shake (2 min) than it does to make it (1 min).
