we’ve seen this stuff time and time again. there ARE standards across the board for lifts like squats, deads, bench press and overhead pressing. everyone knows what they are but many will argue otherwise just to be difficult. full ROM is expected and when it’s not there it’s obviously to everyone.
i can’t believe these debats go on forever. it’s either full ROM or a partial lift regardless of what you are doing it for.

Most pro bodybuilders use partial lifts. No one would even be able to discuss what they are doing in the gym if the only thing that counted was some lift by powerlifting judge standards.
This is bodybuilding. No one gives a shit if it is a partial lift if the guy doing it has gained more muscle than any of the people talking shit.
It obviously works for him and therefore should not be changed. It should also be common sense that powerlifting judgements should remain IN POWERLIFTING AND OUTSIDE OF BODYBUILDING.
i ain’t scared of your post count X LOL
it’s because i’m white…isn’t it?? LOL
I’m not going to argue with you. what i said is common sense and to argue otherwise IS retarded.

I am arguing because if I say I am doing an overhead press with a certain amount of weight and you come along bitching that it is a “partial rep” I am going to say “who the fuck cares because those partial reps are why my shoulders are this big”.
Get it?
No one gives a shit about textbook powerlifting form in bodybuilding because the GOAL is to build big muscles, not win a powerlifting comp.
Understand?
i can’t believe i let myself get sucked into this useless shit…
this is the last i’m going to say about this crap-
i don’t care what got you or anyone else as big as they are. he could jerk off with 45lb plates strapped to his forearms for all i care if that gets him bigger.
the point is if anyone, regardless of what the fuck they do, says they can deadlift 1000 plus for reps it better actually be a fucking deadlift and not some 3 inch ROM in a rack somewhere. that’s just common sense. any douchebag on youtube seeing a video title saying “deadlift 1000lb for reps” is going to expect to see someone picking up 1000+ off the ground and if they don’t see that, there’s going to be a shitstorm of comments a mile long on why it isn’t a deadlift. these aren’t “experts” or powerlifters. these are just people that actually saw someone do a deadlift at some point in time. those poeple aren’t going to say-“well… he’s pretty fucking big, so we will just let that be called a deadlift then” that makes no fucking sense at all.
i actually feel dumber now…thanks.

You didn’t need any help from me with that.
This is not powerlifting. According to you, there is no way I can even discuss my training in relation to weight used because I am not lifting by powerlifting standards.
Why is anyone in bodybuilding caring about how strict a lift is done when that isn’t the goal?
He does partial reps. Polumbo said this and Charles said this…so why is everyone else making this an issue?
MOST of my lifts may count as “partial reps”. That doesn’t mean they don’t count or that I should never speak about the weight I use for fear of some jackass saying it doesn’t count as a real lift.
If someone is that big, what they are dong WORKS and that is ALL that matters.
wow…
we have about as much of a chance seeing eye to eye as you have leaning out and competing.
