GOT To Drop It FAST!

Similar to what others have said…

I’d say go ketogenic. Buy ketostix at your local pharmacy and when they turn purple you are there.

That of course blows away the “post workout” nutrition we all know and love.

So, that gives you the options of proteins, fats and various sources of fiber.

If you want to try to hang onto muscle, then certainly hit the gym and do some relatively heavy lifting, but your energy is going to suck.

Definitely pick up some HOT-ROX to make sure you body isn’t “rate limited” by anything stupid when it comes to getting rid of fat.

You probably won’t have to drop your calories much at first as long as you are doing a LOT of low level activity you will be burning fat non-stop. The problem is having the energy to do it.

Unplug your television, stereo and delete any games you might have… and go for a damned walk every time you get bored. Cancel your magazine and newspaper subscriptions, don’t pick up a book, remove the cushions from your couch and chairs, avoid the computer, do whatever you have to do to keep you up on your feet and moving around.

Of course, you can keep “real cardio” in the gym… along with your lifting.

If this isn’t ripping the fat off, while letting you keep muscles, you can always get around to dropping your food intake during the later weeks and starve off some muscle as well… not that anyone around here, me included, would think that was a good idea.

Oh, and no screwing around with cheat meals and all that other bullshit that people use to increase “compliance”. This doesn’t sound like a “I need help sticking to my program” type of situation.

By the way, given your weight, it may take a week or two to ramp up your distance (blisters and chafing), but there is no reason you can’t throw on a walkman and walk four hours or more a day… perhaps walking to and from work if that’s the only way you can find the time.

Have you started yet? Quit jerking off and get to it already.

Thanks For the comments once again.

Yes, I have started, I am about 3 days into it, and going strong. However, several times I have heard people telling me to “walk four hours or more a day… perhaps walking to and from work” and that sort of thing, I would request that everyone please remember (20 hours a day of work)(Literally!!) I am walking/running everyday and will be back with gym here very shortly. Thanks again for your help, I am getting some HOT-ROX Extreme tomorrow.

You should have a doctor monitoring your progress. I’m not a doctor but it sounds like you stand a good chance of having a heart attack during this project. Loosing muscle will affect your heart. Also be prepared to be right back where you are now within 6 months of finishing, probably with more fat and less muscle.

It’s not important what a doctor says, I have said it before and I say it again, this is entirely TOO DAMN IMPORTANT to stop for any reason, as far as gaining it back and the heart attack…huh, huh…:).:), I will definetely take that bet.

Take lots of fish oil…

Dude, six cans of tuna a day!

Yeah, but not all tuna is created equal. Do you know what type of tuna fish you are getting? Some are pretty low on the omega 3 factor.

White tuna has more Omega 3 than light but also more mercury. For Roque Warrior’s POV I think the Bluefin or Albocore is the way to go. 6 cans should give him enough omega 3 (6-12 grams/day).

If he went with yellowfin or skipjack (1.5-2 grams/day) he would definately need to supplement. Depending on the web sites, amounts vary but I would recommend an extra 5 grams of fish oil if the light tuna is chosen.

If you are going the tuna/green salad route of eliminating carbs, then as Vroom said cut out the post workout carbs as well. Instead pick up some BCAAs and creatine.

Whatever your reason is, it better be important to you because you’re in for hell…and so is your family, so they better support this as well. If they support you then they will get rid of basically everything in the kitchen (they can eat what they like when you’re not around).

As for training, let us know what you’re doing.

Stay focused.

How much have you lost? Also, did you read the comment about the temperature readings? It was a good suggestion. You could certainly add spinich salad with some apple vinigar and olive oil and that will go far in helping you attain your goals. I’m very very interested in this.

First RW, good luck.Tuna in a can has tooo much Mercury as someone else has said. Mercury can kill you or make you really sick and could spoil your effort. Meat: fish, chicken, and turkey.( go crazy every other week with a super lean steak) pouch as much as possible. Veg and fruits: broccoli, banannas, and blueberries are #1, after that the more color the better.

Skip meat a couple of times a week and eat beans. Take snacks to both jobs. Depending on your age workouts 3-4 times a week and I agree with the walking.

Supps:
Pharmaceutical grade fish oil
Pimrose 2 hours before crashing(I hope it helps you sleep) There are more but I don’t know the cash situation
Last: Meditation read Dr. Wayne Dyer
Feel free to send me a PM

So, is this guy dead yet, or what???

Maybe he is dead. He hasn’t even logged in in over a week.

Six cans of tuna a day, there’s plenty of fish oil there.

Hey ya’ll, sorry to disappoint, I’m not dead…:)I’m here and kickin’. My family definetly supports me. I have lost 10lbs in the first two weeks, Iknow,Iknow…water weight yada yada yada, only time will tell. My forecast…I will exceed the 60lbs…HOOOORAH

I have noticed that I can tell you the temperature pretty acurately without a thermostat tho…hmmmmm…

I’ll keep you posted

Contrary to a couple of other people, I would think the Velocity diet would be perfect - I know the article was about dropping into the single digits BF, but really the diet is about keeping muscle and losing fat - it’s pretty much “eat” 5 times a day, nothing but protein and good fat (in the form of shakes and pills)and get enough fiber (again pills).

It is a short term (28 days) plan so maybe use it in the last 28 days or so.

If you can’t handle no (or next to no) real food for a month, put together food meals that have the same makeup as the shakes + pills ~40g Protein, 8g carbs, ~10g Fat and then try and get the 20g of fiber per day.

I personally haven’t tried the V-Diet, so if I messed something up, or if there’s good reasons it wouldn’t work for him feel free to smack me down.

You want to lose 60 pounds in 90 days, and work 20 hours a day. There isn’t really any good way to do that. Here’s one of the less bad ways:

Severe calorie restriction combined with near total elimination of carbohydrates.

You’re going to lose a ton of muscle, but if all you care about is the scale, that’ll do it.

speakin of which, do you care how much muscle you lose, or do you just want to lose weight.

Yeah, Chris Shugart said that not only is it good for people trying to lose those last few pounds, and get to single digit bodyfat percentage, but also, it is good for people who are trying to kickstart their diet, and will get them off to a good start, so it might be okay.

If you don’t go with that, everyone who has posted before me has given solid advice, and I’ll concur with the fish oil, works great for fat loss.

Good luck with your goals.
