Got sick for 2 weeks, lost considerable amount of size help?!?

This! I was sipping on a combo of oral rehydration solution, leucine, creatine, glutamine all through out the day doing mini-workouts (bodyweight mainly) while still on leave.

I looked “swole” within 24 hours. Just felt like a used up bag of dicks🤣

I’m late to the party, but everyone telling you to just eat and lift again and quit stressing are right.

Muscle memory is a great thing - I had to take a couple years off and am back to ~80% after about 6 weeks. You’ll be fine.

How do you use up a bag of dicks? Asking for a friend.

Poor grammar that’s how, lmao! Should have used the edit. “A bag of used up dicks”. That should steer you in the right direction.:laughing:

The English language really is amazing

One by one.

Or so I’ve been told.

Were you a super lean 199lbs at what height?

Also what was your illness?

10-15% body fat

5 foot 11 inches

Was your illness to personal to mention?

Ahhhh nah not at all… pneumonia with plural effusion I had to get drained. Sucked

That is a wide range. There is a big difference between 10% and 15% body fat.

I was like 12 when I last checked so I went with a range as I didn’t know for sure.

Maybe a pic would be helpful, because your guessing is of little value

Yes, muscle memory is real — getting back in shape after illness will be faster than gaining from scratch. Start with light workouts and gradually increase your calories. Don’t rush it, your body will recover

Pretty much your question was answered in this post

I will go along with very unlikely, but I did lose 40lbs in 5 weeks and maybe all of it was lean body weight. I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease dermatomyositis. I was a urinating machine. My CPK was over 18,000 when it should not be over 200. I was taking 64mg/day of Medrol, which favorably partitions nutrients to fat cells, so I was likely gaining fat while I was losing those 40lbs on the scales. Over that period of time I digressed to being incapable of climbing a flight of stairs or getting up from a deep sofa, not to mention difficulty of swallowing food. BTW, I didn’t recognize the person in the mirror.

I am positive OP doesn’t have a myositis disease, as he would be concerned about the drastic loss of strength. I thought I was a death’s door.
