I’m sure this question has spawned quite a few threads before, but since I never read them, I’ll ask it again:
What would be a high-quality, informative book I could purchase as a companion to this great site? I know T-Nation and all its wonderful, FREE resources render most “training” books irrelevant, but I’m sure there are some that can add to what I’m learning here.
Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions, and sorry again for what I’m sure is a repeat post.
By the way, I’m looking for something fairly advanced here. I’m well past the point of learning terminology and the application of various routines, now I just seek additional knowledge concerning periodization, progression, targeting specific weaknesses, etc. I know I’ve heard some good ones mentioned elsewhere on this site, I’d just like to gather these suggestions in one place.
I know I’ve seen a couple of books mentioned on this site that would interest me, and I believe one was written by CT. It was called Theory and Application of Modern Strength and Power methods, or something like that. Was this his most recent book? Is there a title to his new one, so I can keep an eye out for it?
Also, I think there are couple of books named Supertraining and A Multiyear System of Training, respectively. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they recommended?
Unless your a super brain. supertraining is very very hard to read. Science and practice of strenght training is excellent and anything buy tudor bompa is good as well. The books that are translated from russian are ok but the translation is not very good. There are also some other books on Elite fitness that might be a good read.
