I’ve never been a huge believer in supplements but I have recently started taking a few of them for different purposes. I was wondering if the brain trust here at T-Nation could put together effective stacks of supplements for different goals.
I hate the idea of buying supplements then negating or minimizing the effects of the supplements I have by taking them with the wrong thing. For instance I recently bought HOT-ROX Extreme and read the forum about it which said not to take HOT-ROX with Alpha Male. If I hadn’t read that I might never of found out.
Just a suggestion. For the record, I love this place.

How else do you expect to “find things out” if you don’t read about them?
This has been discussed numerous times. The product threads give plenty of info on what should be stacked and what each product is to be used for.
I wouldn’t respect a site that just said “hey if you’re cutting take these five supplements.” I like to know exactly what I am putting into my body and make the decisions myself on what is best for my specific situation.

Well… usually you can “find things out” by trying things yourself and experimenting, or by word of mouth.
I once had a high school teacher that told me that nothing could be learned except through books, I literally wanted to vomit right then and there.
HOw in the FUCK did the ppl who right the books find it out first? Cuz they sure as hell didn’t read it from a god damn book. I was so angry I wanted to kill him, mostly cuz he said it in an arrogant tone too.

I was just like that myself. I never trusted any supplement company, since making money was and and still is their only agenda. The very, very few I did trust, that had great supplements, don’t really exist anymore since either the FDA bans every effective supplement and or they are usually discontinued( MAG-10, the original T2, MD6, etc.).
What goals are you trying to accomplish?
The Strength, fat-loss, or the muscle growth department?
I am currently cutting, and taking a really good herbal supplement for fat-loss and is -hands down- the most effective cutting supplement I’ve ever used. I’ve put together a stack for when I finish cutting and get back on the train to bulking. I will be using MAG-10, Anabolic Pump, Alpha Male, and some creatine.

Not to be a prick, but if you love this place… spend a few minutes reading around. That information could be found on both the HRX thread and Alpha Male thread among other threads in the supplement forum.
I’m not a doctor and I’m not as experienced as the people who work here. Even if I trolled every single supplement I wanted to by, I still might not find the answer I want or I might miss it in the 2,000 posts in each forum. I’m just looking to get the most bang for my buck and the idea of “buy and try” sounds kind of like buying a new car without insurance. Why not let the experts handle it?
Why not put it in once nice easy package.
And just so you know, since I am now taking supplements and I did find out that info about Alpha Male and HOT-ROX, I do read the supplement columns more closely now.

So think about stuff before you say it.

I was talking strictly about this website, not life in general. You might want to try that thinking stuff too. You may also want to consider a typing lesson. You can have someone show you rather than having to read it too.

It’s not like they sell 200 different things. There is what, maybe 30 items in the store. It’s not that hard to learn what each one is used for, and what to take with what.
IMO- websites that package products typically throw in crap you don’t need because they are taking advantage of your need for cookie cutter solutions.

It is because I don’t trust many other supplement companies that I would ask the people here at T-Nation to help. I generally take what I find here and put it to good use in a program or in part of my life.
I’m not trying to be lazy. I am an exercise physiology graduate and take my continuing education seriously. Give me a question about training and i will usually have either an intelligent answer or a good place to look to find the answer. But i’ll say it again, I’m not a doctor and I’m not an expert on supplements. One can’t be an expert at everything at 23 years old. So why not try to take good advice from people who are? And if taking advice is ok, why not take that good advice and put it all together?
I rest my case. If I haven’t convinced people posting on this that I’m not a lazy waste of space, well I guess I never will.
i understand though where sandrock is coming from. some of those threads for the supplements have over 500 posts with mostly useless information posted.
i love reading the articles and usefull info, but maybe if a product had a short paragraph of what it’s for and what it can and can’t be used with would be beneficial.
actually, i’ve been sitting here reading for quite a few hours just in the past few days so it’s not like i’m not one to put in the time and effort…

Have you ever actually read the very first post in each thread? They pretty much tell you everything about each product, short of listing what can and can’t be taken with it.

Bro, the products do have a relatively concise yet comprehensive article for each product. You don’t have to read the 500 posts beyond the article.
