I bought a olympic bar from sportmart and now it is bent, someone dropped it. Where can I get a good bar for a decent price (no $300 bars) online or somewhere in the SF bay area. I have found a couple of places online but they charge like $50 for shipping for a $100 bar. Please help.

Casey: You want a GOOD Olympic bar, and you want to spend less than $300? Yeah, right, I want a new full-size, 1-ton turbodiesel dually for $10K, too! You might try Bigger Faster Stronger’s website for a good value COMPROMISE, but otherwise, keep your bent bar until you can afford an Eleiko training bar.
I hear lots of good things about the Texas Power Bar. EliteFTS has them for $199 and I picked one up when they had a free shipping special. If you shop around the online retailers you should be able to get close to that price, shipped.
I’m still getting my home gym together so I haven’t had a chance to form an opinion of it. But it’s a great feeling bar, great knurling, I’ve read a ton of recommendations on forums, and the guys at Elite have mentioned it in their Q&As or articles and they like it.
