Good Days on 5 Pro

Hello ,

Im currently doing pervertor. If I have a good day on 3s or 531 week, and f.e. I hit my 3th set on squats with a feeling below rpe 7 . … do i need to stop there? Or can I throw in some jokers? I actually had to do 120 kg squats for 5 reps. But it felt super light. I was hesitating to throw on 10 kg extra, but resisted. For your info I did a run of Calgary barbell program and took my 85 % TM from my new improved maxes of that program. Calgary Starts off light in intro weeks , but your soon doing rep work in the 80% + regions of your 1rm or just rpe based with some exercises. So Maybe that’s why I am feeling so strong on the submaximal work at Pervertor.

I Know in beyond it’s explained to do jokers when feeling good. But since forever they are only used in anchors.

Or should I just put my extra energy in the assistance?

Thx for clarifying this.

Just stick to doing 5s PRO at the right percentages and no more. If you’re feeling good it means it’s working, and you can put that into action when you get to an anchor with PR sets after 1-2 cycles. No need to try and rush ahead at the beginning.

No stick to 5s pro in the leader, the anchor you hit jokers.

You’re supposed to feel good and strong when you run 531 programs with the correct TM. You’re not supposed to wear yourself into the ground, or feel like you lifted until you were tapped out and sucking air.

Hit your main lift numbers with strong reps, get in the prescribed assistance work, and get on with your life. You’ll keep coming back stronger each time.

Don’t know much about the pervertor template, but in the leader you’re supposed to push the supplemental work, not the weight/prs
