ha! subtract the thick back (NICE!) and add a low back tat (srs), and that pic could easily be of my ex bf with those curls.
Your hard work definitely shows.
cooking for the lady’s family too? whattaguy.

Tex: Total Fro. Beyond Jewish though.
Lula: I love to cook. Can’t help it. And I’ll never have a low back tat. Ever. That’s funny though.

I see what you did there.
You have no idea how close my hair is to looking just like yours at all times lol
The hair battles have commenced.
My awesome flowing locks are just another reason women have to love strongman. Don’t hate.

Going to be hitting the road in the morning for the wedding in Slidell. If all goes well, I’ll make it back Sunday with no jail time and only a minimal hangover (and no hotel destruction either). Looking forward to seeing what kinda trouble we get into though, haha!
PEACE.
OMG ridiculous weddings are one of my favorite things. Absolutely nothing to hate about open bar, having all your friends in one place, and an open dance floor waiting for your sick-ass moves (also known as the cha-cha-slide).
Solid work up there. That’s a lot of…everything!

I don’t do this cha-cha-slide white people dancing Lula. I have a little trick in my bag called The Wobble. The dance isn’t really in the video, but with a song that catchy, you know it’s got a good groove to go with. I may not be a great dancer, but this white boy got mobile hips and good rhythm.

hahaha! OMG do i love that song!! I like dancing but unfortunately my friends call me ‘Elaine’ (a’la Seinfeld). Apparently I’m not very good, but darn it, I’ve got some flashy jazz hands.
Get in There!
4/18/12
Still feeling rough after a rowdy night Saturday. And yes, I realize it is Wednesday. I drank that much and slept that little. Although I did hulk smash a fence so we could go swimming. The hotel didn’t appreciate it when I told them their shoddy fence just fell over when I leaned on it. But then I stood it back up and it clicked back together and all was well.

Still feeling sluggish. Will likely just walk and do mobility work Friday, since Saturday will be a meet event run through. Meet is 2 weeks from Saturday so it will be my last super heavy day till game day. Looking forward to it though. Also going to head to the Farmer’s Market this weekend near my apartment and load up on tasty goodies. The strawberries are so fire this time of year. Put those on a good grilled pork chop and DAMN.
PEACE.
Dance classes. Just sign up in my log and I’ll show y’all some moves and maybe even a couple of my top-secret, no fail Teximoves.
Slidell as in Louisiana? I was in New Orleans all weekend. Hand Grenades were consumed!!
Oh and have you been working in the dynamic stuff between sets? I swear by this method.

Nice. And yeah, I’ve been working it in. Just forget to log it. Seems to be helping except on the days when I feel like complete dogshit, like today.
Two Weeks Out from Elite Nutrition’s Strongest Man
4/21/12
Everything felt like 10 lbs of excrement in a dime bag today. No pop, no fun, no strength. I have no clue why it all went down the crapper, but such is life. Glad it happened today and not meet day. Here’s what I managed.
Warmup

Farmers Walks
Warmed up, tried 230, body just said “Fuck Off.”
Didn’t even try Yoke Walk, Keg Carry (don’t really need it), or Truck Pull. Just felt like I’ve been hit by a truck, for no apparent reason. Trying to eat my way out of it, as the only solution for weakness is more calories. Will work in the events this week bit by bit, just to make sure I get to feel my contest weights or near 80% of them before game day. I’ll pull through and kick ass, just gotta get myself rolling at this point.
4/21/12
PM: 3 mile walk.
Cleared the head, and got the blood moving for some active recovery. Going to hit up some mobility work and then try to get back after it tomorrow.

Eat ice cream. That ALWAYS helps. Always.

Should’ve known that you’d be right. Ate so much ice cream. Like it was my job.

How Bout We High Rep This Shiz?
Took a cue from Andy’s training log and wanted to try this. I think I’ve responded well to Coy’s setup and rep schemes, but it kind of makes me stay in a perpetual state of overreaching that I think will pay off once I deload and taper into the meet. I like incorporating some higher rep stuff as it has seemed to work in the past, so I think I’ll just kind of sub in days here and there with higher volume, higher rep schemes with Coy’s programming.
Warmup
Mostly Upper Stuff with a Few Hip Mobs
Axle C&P
Axle x lots
115x5
155x8
175x10

Good day. Will be sore from the pressing if this morning is any indicator. Looking forward to training again Wednesday and getting ready for this contest.
