does golds gym have all the gym equipment necessary to do westside for skinny bastards? and also is it just generaly well equipped?
Methinks it would depend on which Gold’s you were talking about…why not go and see for yourself?
The one I go to (Mt. View, CA) has a glute-ham raise but no reverse hyper. There are plenty of squat racks, 6 or 7, but chalk is not allowed. But like the previous poster advised, much of the equipment varies from one Gold’s to another.

i will
Gold’s is a franchise so I think it depends on whether the owner also wants to cater to powerlifters and O-lifters. Most are bodybuilding friendly. Golds Gym, World Gym, and Powerhouse Gym are the only popular commercial gyms that provides dumbbells heavier than 125 lbs. If you’re looking for monolifts, safety squat bars, and other specialized equipment then you might need to find a privately owned gym specifically for powerlifters.
If your living situation permits you, I would suggest slowly investing in your own home gym.
I work at a Gold’s and have been doing WSFSB for a month and a half without any problem. Supposedly one of our other gyms is actually more of a hardcore powerlifting gym, but I haven’t been over there yet.
Frankly all you really need is a power rack, bench, dumbbells, and maybe some cables. Reverse hypers and GHRs can be improvised if you really want to do them.

Some of the Gold’s Gyms are corporate-owned as well.
It totally depends on the owner. Some of the Gold’s here in NOVA are corporate owned, so we can go to any of them. They vary a lot in who they cater to, what equipment they have, and what they’ll let you get away with. You’ll just need to check the gym out and ask the manager what equipment they have (bring a list with you).
I’ve been to three, and at the minimum they all have at aleast one cage, two squat racks, and multiple decent benches so they have the basics.

My Gold’s has about 20 treadmills and another 15-20 Precors. Then there are at least a dozen bikes, and several versions of steppers. It has a plethora of step classes, pilates, yoga, spinning, boot camp, etc, and a women’s only section with colored dumbells. We also have two Smith Machines.
Dumbells only go up to 100lbs, and it only has two squat racks and no power racks. Also, if you train on Mondays, you have to bench, that’s the policy and everyone is very compliant.
This is why I put a gym in my basement…Obviously I’m a little bitter.
