To gain mass you gotta eat more, thats rocket science.
You’re 6’ 195! I have jogger friends heavier than that at that height that don’t lift! Take my dietary advice please, put on 30 lbs and then you might look like you lift weights.
I’m trying to help here!!
And i’m 170, lifting at an almost ntn’l level, what’s your point?
are you 6’ tall and weigh 170 lbs and lift at an “almost national level”? or are you much shorter that 6’?
of course there are guys that weight 170 lbs that lift at a national level…but no one 6’ tall and 170 lbs lifts at a national level caliber.

Pound4Pound : you can talk the talk but can you walk the walk, what are your stats on Height, bodyweight and fat percentage?.
5’8" 193, 11-12% bf. I just started a serious bulk this week, my goal is 220 by february. I got inspired by the Strider progress pics. I’ll keep you informed on my progress. I’m trying to gain 2-3lb/week.
So you are screaming about how everyone else is liteweight and you are 193? Come on man. You sound like a MILO guy, but with a FLEX attitude.

I’m 193 but at 5’8" with 11%bf. Shawn Ray was my height and competed around 200lbs. Obviously lower bodyfat but you get the picture right?
Maybe this’ll help…if I was 6’ with my build I’d be 232 @ 11% bf according to my weight/inch of height. Not too shabby my puny little friend!

Aren’t you the guy who thought someone was joking when they gave advice to squat if you wanted to increase muscle mass even in your arms?
I posted a joke about one-armed incline reverse grip cable curls with a 5-5-5 reps cadence packing serious mass on your biceps PEAK. A joke!! Then buddy replied very seriously about not being able to build the peak etc etc.
I didn’t know if he was joking or if he really was stupid enough not to realize I was joking! I guess he wan’t the only one. LOL:)
Who you calling stupid son ? Huh ? I must be fuckin thick, having to get by with a poxy doctorate in Food Science. I know that doesn’t make me an authority on training ,but it beats the hell out of the intellect you garnered from reading Razzle.
Easy man! We all do stupid things, God know I do!
Besides, having a poxy doctorate in Food Science in NO WAY exempts you from having a general lack of common sense as well as basic social skills such as understanding sarcasm etc. But don’t worry, I’m sure you know more than me about nutrition

I don’t agree with the statement pound4pound made about someone needing to gain 30 lbs to look like they lift. I think the guy in question was 6’ 195. I am 5’9" and 155 lbs with a light frame and you can tell i work out. So what i am saying is if you have been to the gym alot you can tell who is a regular and who isn’t and who goes hard and who thinks they go hard. And my name is a representation of what i have lifted.

it is very doubtful that anyone would guess that you lift weights when you have your street cloths on…

sorry dude, but 5’9 and 155 lbs is tiny.
His streetclothes might be sheer skintight lycra. Heh.

I am beginning to think a lot of these smaller guys think they are truly huge when they look in the mirror. 5’9" isn’t short enough to make 155lbs look big unless he in contest condition.

What’s worrying is I’m 6’1 and 245 or thereabouts with pretty lowish fat and pretty lean. I look in the mirror and I don’t think I look that big. Call it dysmorphia or whatever its called but I know amongst people who are quite big this is a familiar feeling.

maybe he made his own cloths with stratigically placed padding to make it look like he has a decent amount of muscle…

even in contest shape someone 5’9 and 155 lbs would look small…
as a comparison, (if I remember correctly) Frank Zane was 5’8 and 190 lbs in contest shape and he was never considered a mass monster…
if Zane weighed 40 lbs lighter in contest shape he would have looked like a twig…
