Good to see you can still muscle them up.

Very fluffy workouts Luc.
180 x 8 I thought you and Mark was almost squatting the same, so I consider this to be kind of a deload.

I want to do this, damn I really would like to put a 10 after 100 kg.
I think I’m going to start eating.

Thanks Mort. I haven’t really pushed on squats for a while. @MarkKO squat 217kg for 8 recently, that’s a mighty fine effort, I reckon I’m a long way behind him. With the 180, I could have easily got 10, but the bar was slipping badly, and I was sucking air like an old Turbo F1

Hey mate, still here, I lurk from time to time, might have to start logging and contributing again soon, just been lazy.

Still pushing it, switched shit up 5 weeks ago to a DC template which I really like.

Sick of this COVID bullshit, however we’ve been pretty lucky, got away last school holidays for 10 days to the bush and crossed the Simpson Desert, bloody awesome!

Hope your still crushing it old man

Hi mate, they’ve been nothing too exciting, pretty darn light for most stuff actually, only up to 150kg x 5 on deads as a finisher and 140kg x 5 on squats as a finisher. All of the other stuff is pretty light, however it’s very slow and rest pause for last set (twice) which has fucked me right up, lot’s of concentration and focus on the negative.
I’ve been sore in all sorts of places. It must be something as my son and wife commented on my arms and legs looking bigger and a few of my work shirts I’ve now grown out of, haha.

Winning mate.

Haha, I heard a heap of people have had that happen, luckily for us, no lockdown, well, only 3 days the other week after the cock up and freak out by the local Gov.
You’re in Vic aren’t ya mate?
We’ve been really lucky, shits been pretty normal, still able to get away and travel (in our own state)

Glad to hear it.
Yeah, Vic’s finally getting back to normal lol
Still can’t quite get back to the gym though (restricted opening hours).

Yeah right. We have heard about the right situation for you Vic’s,
Our gyms have been open for ages, along with pubs and the rest, although we haven’t been able to drink while standing, hmm. Up at Birdsville we were allowed to stand and drink onnthe pub after 4pm

Alright fellas. Seeing as it was an awesome trip I am happy to share, especially as the rest of the world was stuck at home.

Kicked it off on a Saturday morning from Adelaide, straight to Coober Pedy (837km) Original plan was to head through Roxby and up to the Oodnadatta Tk and camp the night at William Ck, however they’d had a ton of rain and the Oodna Tk was shut.
Next day we head off to Oodnadatta and Dalhousie (just shy of 400km). Original plan was to head up to Mt Dare for a brew and top up with fuel, however one of the cars had to be towed into Oodnadatta and we spent a fair whack of time fiddling and fixing it (electrical gremlins)
Waking very early as usual at Dalhousie was aweome, I stripped off and was bobbing around in the hot spring on my own watching the sunrise, bloody awesome.
That day we then head off to Purnie Bore and down Rig Rd, corrugated to fuck! First night between 2 dunes in the desert was freaking sweet! Next day we head off down Rig Rd and made it up past Lone Gum to camp. As we found a spot it was Windy as fuck, blow the dog off a chain type wind, could barely see, then it stopped, the sky filled with colour and we were treated to a 360* Thunder Storm. Bloody awesome kicking back in the camp chair with a cold one and watching that!
Next day we head off up the WAA line, up to the French Line, Poepel Corner and onto the QAA before heading into Birdsville on the last day. All up 4 nights in the desert, bloody toasty too, 38*C most days, warm freaking nights, all good in the swag though.
Arriving at Birdsville we were greeted by a Covid Roadblock, luckily all 9 cars had the proper permits etc, I set up my swag in the caravan pk, had a much needed shower and went straight to the pub, haha.
Next day everyone was hanging around for a rest day so I head off down the Birdsville Tk on my own, about 150km in I noticed my my rear left on my TPMS was going down slowly. I’d been chatting to another group we’d chatted to in the middle of the desert on the radio and they were a few k’s back, they stopped and helped me plug the sucker. The bastard kept leaking so I changed it over with 1 of my spares at Mungeranie. Phil the dude who runs the pub there is a top bloke.
Ended up at Marree around 4 and drove to my old dears house at Port Augusta for the night, big day, 900k’s, most of it on the Birdsville Tk, haha.
Car was awesome, made it from Oodnadatta to Birdsville, 720km and only used 104 litres all up, that’s with the climate on cold and the air con seats on all the time, plus me running the car in the mornings to get some juice into my second battery as it copped a flogging with it being so hot over night.
All up 8 nights or something, just over 3000km, 2 bottles of rum, a bottle of vodka and a carton of cider
