Going Down Fighting!

Well, bit of a bummer. Gonna have to put the Monolith on hold for a while, I’ll pick it back up in 6 weeks or so. I hurt my foot a couple of week back, I thought, she’ll be right, it’s been ok, but has hurt when walking etc, was walking across some big sharp rocks, now it really freaking hurts and my ankle is fudged too.
Will go back to the split I was doing for last year or so.

Bugger. Do you know what the issue is?

Goes beast mode smashing every joint in the body with weight that humans were never meant to lift = fine

Goes for a walk and there’s rock = injured

I mean, my two back tweaks were done putting on shorts and turning around to look behind me…

@guineapig haha, I’d already strained it, but yeah, usually the simplest things fuck shit up

@MarkKO I reckon it was a new pair of sneakers I bought. Wore them while taking my kids on an excursion, 6 hours of walking, then 2 days later was Sports Day, same thing. I’m on my feet all day normally so it’s nothing unusual, plus walk in morning and at night, but i strained the ball where my big toe joins, thought fuck it, went for usual walks etc, squatting still, deadlifting and I reckon I’ve strained my ankle by walking on it weirdly because it hurts.
I’ll do a bro split this week, (otherwise I feel lazy, and it’s done well for me this last year) pull on Wed or Thurs, Squat next Saturday, hopefully it will have calmed down by then.

That’s sucks man. Hopefully it will sort itself quickly and you’ll be back out lifting us all again.

Hey do you strict it log rep work. Between strict pressing, push pressing and jerking it im curious what methods guys use to build up their log.

I’m new to log, but have been doing just strict.
I think sessions with jerk or push press would be helpful

Foot still feeling dodgy, I am however going nuts with so much sitting around. I walked the dog this morning, and to the shop and back, probably 5k’s all up so far today.

i have found that the hip airplane drill The Hip Airplane – Squat University
also is great for the feet. could be worth a try.

Sorry to hear about your foot Luc.
Have you had a doc to take a look? it could be! Anyways I’m hoping it’ll pass soon.
Well glad that the 230 kg wasn’t a fluff day.

Nah, no doc, I’ve just sprained it. She’ll be right.
It’s feeling better, still painful when I stretch it fully like kneeling down etc. Life must go on

Hey fellas, still here, still lifting, smashing it 4 days a week as usual, and walking 3 to 6km per day. Haven’t logged anything in a while, been flat stick at work, term 4 is hectic, reports, concert, most of a week at camp, freaking nuts!
Feet feel better, ditched the super soft sneakers and went back to the good ol Volleys, nice flexible sole, flat and hard and it’s done my feet wonders. And wearing Chucks to work, Volleys are a little dodgy for work.

Glad your OK and know what you mean about life being hectic. Only a couple of weeks to go and then yuo get a break. Keep up the good work fella

Thanks mate, I’ve been teaching my son to lift lately, he’s 14 and dead keen, I’ve only allowed him body weight stuff until now, haha. He’s doing really well, cleaned up his teenage diet and smashing protein and good carbs which is awesome. He has built his skinny little frame a fair bit too, I wish I started then, haha.
They got a shot in the gym at school and his teacher cracked it when he was showing the other kids how to lift, haha, he also said my garage has better shit that his school

That is amazing. I lifted with my dad when I was 16 and even now 30 years later when we are in the same country (he lives in UK) we go to the gym together.
