So, legs are still sore from 5x5 the other day, bloody awesome, I forgot how much I loved 5x5 squats!
Today was pretty easy, probably going to have to squeeze in a session tomorrow, and maybe Tuesday, not ideal, but fuck it. I’ve got a flat out week, parent interviews, a late and long meeting one night and my son’s birthday another.

Had to squeeze tomorrow’s session in today, ah well. Legs were already sore going in to this, haha, love it! I really like the leg doms, what’s wrong with me?
Will use the SSB for squats for the 3rd session each week, just because it’s there!

Found Gluten Free meat pies at Cole’s, not being able to eat wheat and not having a pie for about 20 years I was pretty excited! They’re bloody delicious! They do however give me farts that smell like a rotting corpse! The Mrs isn’t happy :scream:

It’s an interesting animal, pressing with it in unique. The one I scored is 40kg bare, so she’s built nice and solid

Is a big log with few weights slapped on it or small log with lots of weight plates on it cooler?

This monolith program is very similar to the 5x5 Bill Starr and Madcow I used to run.
I forgot how much I like 5x5 squats, I ran it for years, very rarely missing sessions and made awesome progress. Bloody loved it. Since then I’ve had a few years off, then piss farted about with various stuff.
Today the first and second set felt like a ton, then it felt like a feather!

Haha, thanks mate. It’s not too bad, I bust through it in just over an hour. That’s the beauty of having a good setup at home, crank up the metal and smash through it with little distractions

But I really like your sessions, it just looks easy, but damn a lot of weight was moved around.

One day I’ll be doing 5x5 with 110 kg I hope, probably not 150, that would be to much for my old frame.
