Great training Pete. 700 bench is just crazy. Ted Arcedi crazy. A few years ago and you’re knocking on world record numbers. Were all those squats deep enough on that video?? I squat that deep but wasn’t sure if it was good.

I won’t say all the squats were 3 whites, but the majority were. Greg in the vid is actually a judge, fairly sought after. Recently criticized for being too strict. He is really strict when making calls in the gym when it comes close to a meet. But you always have to remember that depth is from 3 vantage points, and that for some people with some leverages getting the hip beneath the knee means someting different. There are some lifters that are askew, due to back issues or whatever, that will always only be two white lights. Unless they go too low, which is just silly:)

Lifting alone I have no clue what I’m doing half the time and if I’m doing it correctly. So I appreciate these videos from experienced lifters like yourself.

Gulp.
upper assist night
reverse grips up to 355 x 8
high incline dumbells 3 x 10 w/120s
nose breakers 3 x 15
laterals 4 x 12
hs front press 3 x 12
ropedown/extension 2 x 15 each
wrist curls 3 x 20
tired, stressed, blah blah blah.
Wow. Awesome work. Will your big strong friends come and lift with you at silverback barbell? I wouldn’t want to give up those training partners.
MJ, SB BB will be mostly to take place of my nights at the commerical gym, and perhaps for pulling.

dz well my ssb box squat vid didn’t turn out, but here is some vids from the rest of the team that night. I am in there somewhere in the background, noticeable only by my gray beard and jacked calves, lol

That’s a nice video. There’re some strong looking ladies there.
yup Ms O, I train with a couple of crazy strong women.
DL opener night
145 x 5, 235 x 3, 325 x 3, 415 x 2, 505 x 1, 595 x 1, 655 x 1 (opener) 615 x 3, to get some heavyish reps in. Had more in the tank, want to try that for max reps after the meet. 655 went text book good. gotta convert to kilos now. I hate lifting in kilos.
pulldowns 6 x 12
sldl 4 x 8
dumbell shrugs 4 x 15
cable abs 4 x 15
feeling ready. bench opener Saturday, then full deload.
ez bar curls 5 x 10
you know, its heavier when they use kilos…
you need to teach your kids to yell “belly belly belly belly” and “tuck tuck tuck tuck flare”, then you won’t need your old training partners anymore
MJ, it’s gonna be a couple of years before they can pull the bar off of me though.

Good Grief that’s a lot of lifting, very cool! I spotted you in there, gray beard and jacked calves.
What are the names of the ladies that are lifting? I caught the first but not the last. I admit I’m a creeper of other women’s performance and like to see what everyone is doing.
Ms O, I pm’d you.
Cool vid
700 club is right there- good work.
Benchin’
Raw warm up bar x 20, 140 x 15, 230 x 10, 320 x 3, 410 2 board x 2
shirt on 500 3 board x 2, 590 2 board/1 board x 2, 640 full range, got locked up 1/8 inch from touching. pulled head out of ass, unjacked collar, wet shirt 640 x 1, easy, opener.
band pull aparts 5 x 20
band pressdowns 5 x 15-20
now the deload begins. I get to see how good I am at sleeping and eating for one whole week.
Deload underway. Did not much of anything yesterday, except took family to pumpkin patch. Feeling fairly beat up, and with my recurring sinus issue, so the fact that I don’t have to go and squat for 2.5 hours, and not get home until 9 p.m., actually seems pretty dang nice to me right now.
Did go see specialist again regarding sinuses. We are targeting surgery for last week of the year. He said this time my sinuses resemble an accordian, lol.
F, its almost Halloween! I need to get to the pumkin’ patch as well.
Make sure you get plenty of vids of the meet, I am really looking forward to them.
Surgery for your sinuses? Ugh. That doesn’t sound like fun.
Good luck at your meet. Can’t wait to hear your crazy numbers.
Thanks Jack and Snap.
Last night got in 25 minutes elliptical.
Dr. put me on a ridiculous regiment of antibiotics, sprays, rinses, anti-inflamatory, and Claritin. After one day I do feel much better. Now my face only hurts others:)
