Going Bananas

wussed out on the walk for the dogs’ sakes. it was 90+ high humidity today, and especially with my old st bernard, don’t want to crush her. instead cranked some reggae in the ac, and got my 3 and 9/10th year old to dance while we cleaned the basement (coolest part of the house). that’s my gpp for today.

Got the email this morning that I am moving onto the next round of interviews for the main job I want. PR.

Tonight’s training.

My sister lives 10 minutes from the barbell club, so I had childcare.

Dropped him off, talked to her about some painting she needs help with then went and lifted. Was on more of a time crunch than usual, which sucks with gear.

raw warm ups to box 145 x 5, 235 x 5, 325 x 3

briefs on 415 x 2, 505 x 2, 555 x 2, 595 x 2. all felt good, fast, a few form tweaks with these briefs still but now I can move the weight up a bit.

crappy nights sleep and a ton of stress made today a struggle, was off balance and falling forward on everything. Still did ok, just not spectacular.

leg raise 4 x 10

reverse band dl worked up to 705 x 2. This felt pretty good, so tried 735. Made it too knees, but was on my toes and balls were to small today to grind it out.

front squat worked up to 315 x 6, again pitching forward. Then 225 x 12. will up the reps when I try this again in a couple weeks, 225 x 20 seems very doable.

Today: elliptical x 30 minutes, pushing lawnmower x 90 minutes, 1.5 mile walk.

Plus a couple hours at beach with family, where I got a call to confirm final interview for Monday.

Had ribs on the deck, as I was finishing UPS made a delivery. Good timing, will enjoy a cigar shortly.
