I just read through everyone’s comments, and sorry for any misunderstanding. Wife was contracting 20 minutes apart on Monday, so I skipped squat night, but then nothing happened. And hour later, past my time to leave and get to the barbell club and be in the mix, she said, hmmm, guess not tonight, why don’t you do a bunch of landscaping for me instead? Squat night is sacred, my chance with the mono and to get over the gayness by squat has become, so I was a little pissed. But being a man who tries his best to internalize the shit and not burst out that his squat is more important than her hormonal waves, well I shut the fuck up and pushed the prowler.
Anyway… I think that is the first I have said how I really felt at that time. I am probably going to put any trips to the BB club on hold for the next few weeks, depending on a)baby finally showing up b) would rather get something in at the local gym, than nothing and c) all this new career stuff. What is weird is all these huge burst of energy the wife has right now. Today she cooked, cleaned, and did dishes when she stayed home with kid while I interviewed. She is hoping that this is her stay at home ticket, and frankly so am I.
She’s nesting. “Stay at home” I’ve noticed more and more we want to return to simpler times. One works, one stays home and domesticates. The less ‘stuff’ I think I NEED, the easier this gets.

And Fischer, that was actually some funny shit this time. And yes, I did let the bands lift the weight. I actually went into the garage and got my average bands out because I felt too much like dog doo to lift the weight myself.
