very happy with today’s training. I reset my expectations, and changed my form somewhat dramatically on the bench. Due to mid back issues decided to move to more flat backed benching. Also in a very loose shirt, can get on entirely by myself, and trained without any of the usual pinching and bruising from gear.
Raw warm ups 140 x 10, 230 x 10, 320 x 3, 3 board 410 x 2, shirt on 3 board 500 x 2, 2board 550 x 2, 590 x 2.
This went up fine, and left lots of room to grow. And flat backed, or almost flat backed, benching felt good.
floor press 225 x 10, 315 x 5, 365 x 5, 315 x 12 last two at or near PRs.
CSR 8 x 8-10
laterals 5 x 10
hammer curls 60s x 10, 80s x 10
band pressdowns 2 x 20
prowler 90lbs, 40 yards, 10 trips.
Next up mowing the lawn to further up my GPP, or something like that, followed by grilling and alcohol consumption. That will be followed by posting picks of Meat and Steve spooning.

Steve, please don’t insult me so. If you enlarge my last pic I have something resembling a goatee, only it is hard to see because it is mostly comprised of these weired silvery wirey hairs, which actually match my back hair perfectly. I try to stay coordinated, you bitch you.
sidenote: already feeling the after affect of flatter backed benching. My pecs and front delts are feeling sore as hell, whereas usually it is my lats and mid-back that take the brunt. And tris are effen fried.

went in with low expectations, was somewhat banged up in the shoulders from benching and from the tree cutting frenzy I went into this morning. this is week two of breaking in the briefs, main goal was to find a weight that took me past parallel w/o crushing me.
raw box warm ups 145 x 5, 235 x 5, 325 x 5
briefs on 415 x 3 505 x 3 555 x 3. Felt good, this ties my most recent raw PR I believe.
SSB box squats. Haven’t done these in so long every rep was a PR:
245 x 8, 335 x 8, 385 x 8. OK, I suck at squatting for reps right now. This wasn’t failure, but I sure as hell was winded. Should be able to move these up in weight fast, think I will try and hold onto them for a few weeks after my geared work. My upper legs have gotten kinda skinny from focusing on lower rep stuff, these should help change that.

Prowler 10 x 40yd x 90lbs, some kinda PR with how fast we got this done.
Overall long night, happy with this as a new starting point. Everyone else getting ready for meets, last real heavy night for some before doing openers.

30 minutes elliptical while kid watched Dora. Body is feeling fairly well beat up today. I like it.
managed 2 mile walk in the evening. then some more remodeling stuff on kids new room, made dinner, kid to bed, applied for jobs, made my second dinner, now going to watch ‘Justified’, I like it, couldn’t figure out why at first then noticed it is an Elmore Leonard deal. Then I went and tried my semi-annual attempt at standing militaries. I hate these. Don’t know why. Used to love them. worked up to 185 x 5 and said oh yeah, I hate these, and quit.

nose-breakers 125 x 20, 145 x 20, 165 x 10, stopped, fuggin with my elbow.

pinwheel curls 65s x 10, 80s x 10
cable curl 1 x dropset. Not a big believer in dropsets, but it is a way to get some work in fast.
dbell front raises 40s x 8, 45s x 8, 50s x 8
