Shoulda done your taxes first. Woulda had a more intense session.
Thats my plan anyway.

Nah, doing taxes breaks my spirit. However, so far I am winning this year. God bless my short little tax deduction.

They cry and shit a lot, but God love 'em come April 15!
Sorry to read about the meet. Glad you and the family had a good time though. Nice deadlifts.
thanks Steve
20 minutes treadmill, 20 minutes elliptical, getting a massage in a couple of hours
Good new plan on this cycle… shame the meet did not go the way you wanted,
but your little guy got to see Dady press a small car!
I cant even attempt our taxes I love our accountant.
no mater what I gross I always have 20 or so w-2 and a bunch of 1099.
Its too complicated
20 minutes tread, 20 elliptical
masage yesterday was magical. She even worked an extra 15 minutes on me for free out of pity. I have two huge knotted balls where my rhomboids should be. hips though feeling much better than weeks prior are trashed per her. She made me to promise to foam roll every night. will try to fill that promise

Thats funny, we call those extra 15 minutes a “Happy Ending” <— and that usually takes care of the “huge-knotted-balls” syndrome also. LOL.
All in all a good massage therapist is a lifters best friend in preventing injuries.
Fischer
Fischer you beat me to the ‘happy ending’ comment.
Fischer, been going to the massage parlors in Cicero again?
Massage therapist actually walked up to me in the gym today to see how I was feeling. I think she is in love. Every woman wants a man with lots of problems. Mine just happen to line up with her profession.
Today:
Decline sit up 4 x 20 always hated these, means I should do them more
DE Bench 8 x 3 @ 185 + dlbd minis. Was going to work with straight weight this week, but that is boring.
Close grips 225 x 10, 275 x 10, x 10
Lots of trauma still from pinched nerve. Feels like my arms was going to fall of benching. Oh well.
neutral grip dumbell inclies 80s x 12, 90s x 12, 100s x 12
low pulley crossover 2 x 20
face pulls 5 x 12
seated dumbell curls 3 x 10
laterals 4 x 15
rope hammer curls 2 x 15
just trying to get things moving again, and to feel better again. Nothing was hard, minus the fact that my upperbody in general feels like crap still. Good starting point.
went back to they gym by my old work. one of the trainers was at my meet, talked to him and made sure he still had chains etc. this is what I did today, felt great
Box squat to inche above parrellel 275 + 100lbs of chains 10 sets of 2
easy, felt great, worked on form more than speed. will lower box and up weight next week
close stance gms 225 x 12, 275 x 12, 12 slowww and deeeeeep
power squat 540 x 8, 720 x 8, 810 x 10
back extension, cranked low to almost a ghr 3 x 15
sled: drags, pulls, sprints, about 25 minutes, saw stars.
realized I haven’t done the sled in nearly 5 months. Explains a lot. will be working sled and/or prowler 2 or 3 times a week
got a card in the mail from the MT from the other day. Told ya she was in love.
Nice work
I took a massage license and wanted to do that for a while, Its kind of what you do when your
a good or decent jock in college and a sub par student.
Loved doing it hated business parts.
I was too young and not saavy enough to have a sucessful run.
or smart enough to figure it out.
worked on atheltes, and dancers far more fun then ‘civilians’
I think I might go back to school for ART.
hmmmmmm.
Pete, you always have the coolest workouts. I still gotta get me some chains.
KMC, just hope you never gave any happy endings. If you did, well, I guess that is ok.
Jack, chains are fun
Aside from shoulder irritation (definitely bicep tendonitis on the right side) feeling good about training. Roughing out my template for the next 8-12 weeks, based upon being and unemployed bastard. Hopefully that shifts, but I might as well make the most of it if it continues. Definitely haven’t so far.
Sabotage: wife came home, slept for an hour on the couch, then took kid to friends house, where he got fired up on cute little girls and chocolate. Brought him home, handed him back over to me, and went to bed. He was wired like he had received and adreneline/meth/coke cocktail. Evil, and she gets away with it because my next boy is growing in her tummy…
Going on 3 months, I gotta say being a stay at home dad is one of the most trying, and rewarding, things I have ever done. And especially considering I am the one responsible 24-7, it is also very tiring.
The last couple of weeks I have decided to try and add more structure to our days. I have created a syllabus for the two of us, here is a sample day from Monday:
A.M.
wake up, yogurt for Ewan.
Daddy, IRS follow up, networking, review cable vs. satelllite.
breakfast
arts/crafts
lunch
play outside
Daddy, review job boards
snack
work on alphabet
suit to drycleaners
p.m. daddy to TC barbell, squats light, heavy dl, assistance work
Tuesday
a.m.
yogurt, and PBS while Daddy does 40 minutes cardio
breakfast
Daddy: job follow up
Ewan: computer learning time
lunch
Daddy’s massage
home, snack, alphabet, play
not everything gets dones but it makes me feel better that something is getting done, and I am not raising a Diego-zoned neanderthal.
Those are my deep thoughts for tonight.
20 treadmille 20 elliptical
I need ART in a bad way but Birmingham doesn’t have a pracitioner. thats a good ide aon the schedule, it will make the days seem more normal. Well maybe normal isn’t the right word but you know what I mean.
i don’t know what a power squat but the 810 behind it made my knees ache instantly.
today commercial gym by house:
foam rolled a ton
some stretchin
ab wheel 4 x 15
seated calved 4 x 20-30
standing calve 1 x 100 r/p w/230
TBar row worked up to 7 plates x 10
shrugs 315 x 15, 405 x 15, 495 x 15, 585 x 12
reverse grip pulldown 3 x 8
band pullaparts 2 x 15

ez curl 3 x 12 w/115
hammer curls 70s x 10, 80s x 10
alt cable curl 3 x 15
shoulder issue is definitely bicep tendonitis. will rehab it. means lots of high rep curls I guess.
the primary PL gym in the area, The Press, where I used to sometimes train, has been sold. New owners opening in new location in about 6 weeks. meanwhile, that means a lot of displaced lifters. Several showed up to my commercial spot today. Funny seeing decent squats, chalk, etc being done there, and not by me. They recoginized me from the meet Saturday, talked shop etc.
down to the barbell club this a.m.
Bench 50 x 20, 140 x 20, 230 x 15
3board 320 x 5, 370 x 5, 410 x 5
4board 410 x 5, 460 x 3 (grew a vagina) 460 x failed on 5th.
floor press 135 x 10, 225 x 10, 315 x 10
nose breakers 115 x 20, 165 x 15, x 15, 185 x 10
db front raise 3 x 10 w/45s
band pushdowns 2 x 30
shoulder made me hold back a little bit, definitely need to regain some strength in my raw lockout, all in all good session though. picking up a prowler on loan Monday night, should be fun to use.
fuggen biecp tendonitis: right arm will not contract. out of curiousity took a measurement, only 18.5. left is 19 and a quarter. right was over 19 about a month ago. icing, ibu, rehab work.
