Thanks all. For once I’m caught up. The wife’s cookin up one of those rib eye steak roasts in the oven, yard works done, been to the gym, caught the nap, TV sucks, and it’s just too damn hot and muggy to do much outside. So, realizing I’ve been remiss in keeping up with everyone I’m gonna sit here wit my beer and visit wit jawl.
The meet yesterday was very well run but long as these all age meets tend to be. It was humid as only the south can get. Between every throws I was chauking my neck.
Bunny, I still swim as much as ever I just don’t list it all the time. Don’t really think of it as part of my workout. That’s more relaxin time.
Wife drug me to the gym this morning. Actually took a shot at some stretching.

Sitting on floor, legs out in a vee, trying to touch each leg, out front, anything. Wife was sitting on my shoulders and trying to push me lower, didn’t go anywhere. People laughing didn’t help.

One of the throwers I’ve been helping, young girl with outstanding potential, only 15, 10th grade, won the state 6A HS discus this year. She’s competed in the last 2 meets I’ve been in (in her age division). Starts her run at the junior olympics this weekend. We’re doing 1 last practice Wednesday night.
Nice training and way to go with the coaching. I wish her all the luck in her meet!

Harry nice bench work…always impressed when I read your log…between your HG stuff and your training…just good, good stuff…and very jealous that you can go swimming at the drop of a hat. I miss that as the ocean is way to freakin cold up here!

Thanks Steve, gonna make a pilgrimage to a gym with bouncy plates soon. Traps hurt for days after the cleans and putting the weight down. Sides, I just wanna drop the damn weights.
OG and Joe, swimming is as much for my mental well being as my physical. That and the walkin 6 miles a day keep the ticker goin. Ain’t nothing like a quick dip to shake of the days crap.
MJ, the girl is a legit phenom. Won the first leg of the Jr Olys yesterday. She’s off to John Powell’s (you can genuflect) training camp for a week now.
Not as much lifting as throwing in here this time of year, Bulldog. Soon as the T&F and Highland seasons over I’ll be back to hittin the weights regular.
