Thanks guys. If I’d known I was gonna be in pictures I woulda dressed up real pretty like. Sorry for the crappy vids (and all the ass shots). Didn’t plan on taking vids but saw the wife, who shoulda been working out, talking on her phone. After severly reprimanding her(believe that?)I remembered her phone’s got a camera in it. So proped it up between some weights. Learned a couple of things. Ass is way too high on the initial pull and I need to pay more attention to keeping the bar closer to my body.

When you pick up 295 off the ground, you are supposed to stop at your waist. When you then proceed to throw it over your head, it sets the standard way too high for the rest of us.

That 335 Clean was not a “fail”! That was a totally impressive display of power. I humbly suggest you go for a clean-only PR, so you can scare the bejeezus out of the 5% of the population that isn’t already scared already.

I like how you catch or recieve those standing- that is impressive-
a little dip in your catch and youll be clean and pressing well into the 300’s

so just to recap- some of the big boys here are benching what I rack pull,
and here you are cleaning what some of us squat.

Kmc! You’re alive! Glad to see you’re feelin better. Yeah, form sucks. Never did any real oly lifting and a little afraid of putting myself in a position where I’d have to drop the weights if something went wrong. Gym owner would frown at me.

Today, hit the pool right after work. Swam steady for an hour, varying the speed.
Big day at work tomorrow. All the sales junk mail has to go out before Thanksgving and “Black Friday”. Big dinner on Thanksgiving at one of my brothers spread. Carb loading! When I finally get home tomorrow night I’ve been directed to stay out of the kitchen. Wife and some other women folk are cooking pies and cakes. They’ll eventually sleep and then I’ll strike!
Case I don’t get a chance, hope all you and your familys are safe and you have a blessed Thanksgiving. Canadians, yawl, too.

That’s a heck of a session, Hel. How do you hold the BB for those twists? And, when you do them, do you “twist and shout”?

Best way to discribe those is crucified. BB behind the head and high on the shoulders like squating but arms straight out on the bar. Right side of bb has a 25# on it and I’ve got my right hand on top of that. Spread the feet wide and twist. Mainly for the discus throw. And it’s “twist and grunt”.
