Yeah Jack, after 28 years I’m almost getting use to her. Today, cooked my world famous and much saught after breakfast at the Vets home. The praise was embarassing, “damn chief, couldn’t shit for a week after your last batch of pancakes”.

MJ, I was 36 in that picture. Same age as some of the guys here are now. Think I’d been back from Desert Storm a month or so.

Thanks Joe, I’m thinking of going over to just dbs for a while on the chest. Kinda the opposite of you. My bb bench is a lot higher than my db benching suggests. Going to see if bringing up the db helps the BB.
Steve, The day I retired I quit shaving. Had a close encounter with willy pete in '93. Left a scar on my jaw, more on my ribs. Wife says it’s not that noticable but I’m kinda self consciencious about it. Besides, the beard gives me that air of refined dignity. Doesn’t it?

Steve, right now I’m getting ready for next year. Gonna start the highland games earlier in the year, hopefully Febuary, plus hit maybe 4 T&F meets. Might enter a PL meet if one comes up in the area. What I really want to try is a strongman just to have done one. If one is anywhere near I’m giving it a try whether there’s age categories or not.

That SLDl—>Squat—>Zerchers progression made me feel ill. Big lifting…

I been lifting but nothing to speak of. Had a scare awhile back with some random chest pains so I got it looked at and it was not the heart. Of course they couldn’t tell me what it was! Just lifting and dieting now.

I need to do allot of reading and get caught up with everyones logs!

Not sandbagging Tony, just motivated. Fell in with a group of young lifters squating and just kept going up. First 455 they said I made depth, 2nd was a “wellll…”, and the third was a flat “no, sir.” The affect of a group encouraging you does wonders (ie, showin off). Course, ain’t nobody helpin with the way my ass feels today.
