Hi, Glenn. Great article yesterday about training at different speeds. Could you post an example routine for guys who are a little more average joe, and can’t train twice a day? Thanks.
hey glenn, i figured out how to do eccentric less training such as snatches, clean and jerks, high pulls and deadlifts by making a bunch of sandbags. i do concentric as fast as possible and then let go of it at the top of the lift without worrying about making noise or the bar bouncing around.
Since you have a background in olympic lifting, do you still prefer 3 to 6 reps on eccentric less training or do you like a higher rep range since their is no lengthening of the muscle?
Glenn,
I just read your interview with Chris Shugart and I really enjoyed it. I was hoping, if you don’t mind, if you would go a little more in depth on the program you used. I lift with a mix of strength (squat, deadlift) and Olympic style lifts. My main goal is to get stronger and faster. To not sound too much like a tool, my main goal is to be as close to an NFL linebacker, or to the extent of my genetics. Meaning I want to have the strength, speed and look of one. Thanks for any insight you can give me.
Ben,
I was also happy to see TJ Ward pop up in the article. Go Brownies!
