Marriage genuinely scares me and it should. It’s either manageable, or you lose half of everything you’ve ever worked for; the results of your hardships, and any sense of masculinity.
And if you ever voice that concern to anyone you just look like a bitter outcast who’s pessimism has gotten the best of him, when really you just don’t want to conform with today nonsense by playing Russian roulette with your life.

We live in interesting times, the one major thing, that everything alive depends on, reproduction, is considered an enormous effort and of course very inconvenient… First you have to risk your social status by approaching a girl and fearing rejection, then you have to live together for a very long time and prove yourself worthy, while of course making enough money to be able to “afford” children (all while some poor people have hundreds of kids they can not really provide for, while some hard working people deem it to be too expensive)…
And for all the people that talk about the ship sinking and how it should. Well if you think the society you live in is not worth sustaining, then you should either do something about it, or just kill yourself (you know to stop wasting energy). Because NOTHING you do will even matter in a thousand years, except of course that your descendants are able to walk the earth if you reproduce.
As for all the “new” media stuff like porn, romantic movies and all this stuff where the man is depicted as some weak minded pussy definitely contributes to women thinking they don’t need men to live their life.
Not that I have much life experience compared to some people here, but I think sex is overselled in the media, but underpracticed.
And with all the contraceptives, the people who focus on their career, will pretty much work all their life to leave nothing behind. What a waste.

A new trend (of course promoted by the media) is for men to be less manly; that is they should be less “discriminative”, less “judgmental”, and less confrontational. Cartoons of the past portrayed characters beating the living shit out of, shooting, and stabbing each other, whereas today, especially on Disney, it is portrayed that a young man or woman should give a shit about every Tom, Dick, and Harry so long as they are breathing, whether they are compatriot or stranger.
Porn is more accessible than ever, and porn gives many men an unrealistic view of what a real woman is like. And the porn accessible now is in many cases, FUCKING GROSS! Men should focus on getting a woman, not jerking off to porn for hours. Don’t get me wrong, some porn watching is understandable and I particularly liked some of the porn films from the '80s and early '90s in which regular sex was shown and the women were not surgically altered to the degree they are now.
Many young men are socially inept, thanks to addictive online forums (like this one).
