Then what do you suggest I do? If that’s the case than I’ll get more in tune with myself spiritually and not give a shit about muscle.
You do however make a contradictory statement, you state my T is “pathetic”. At the very least I would wish to fix that. What the fuck should I do? [/quote]
Well, not taking shit from that troll would be a good start.
While bpbob is a tool he does have a few good points. Yes, accomplishing things like being successful, built, having a hot girl(s) on your arm constantly will boost your confidence and make you feel like a boss. Are having these things awesome? Yes, they are, but it won’t fix you. That comes from inside.
Confidence is being the gym newbie who joins a powerlifting gym and openly admits that he just wants to look like a male stripper, even though everyone else teases him about being a prettyboy.
Confidence is openly striving for that dream job, even though it’s super hard to achieve. Even though so there are so many people who tell you that you won’t make it. And then proving them all wrong, and getting there even faster than you said you would.
Confidence is breaking up with that really hot popular younger girl because she’s a psycho bitch rather than putting up with her shit because you’re scared you’ll never find anyone better.
Confidence is sticking around to write this because you sound like a nice guy and I want to help instead of studying for my cardiology exam that I might very well fail tomorrow (well… that might be overconfidence :S).
Confidence is striving for what YOU want out of life instead of letting the bitter betties and the dickwads who tell you what you should want out of life scare you away. It’s not about never feeling fear. It’s about not letting fear hold you back.
Now, I have a few questions for you to answer truthfully to yourself.
-
Am I satisfied with my life? The answer should be no because you should always have goals. Don’t be afraid to admit the things you want to yourself.
-
Am I making progress towards getting what I want at a reasonable rate?
-
What’s holding me back?
-
Why is it holding me back?
-
What can I do to fix that?
-
Why am I not doing that?
Then make a plan and execute it.
Your test is just a fucking number. A number with no context and a worthless one at that because single lab tests for endo are worth squat unless they show something highly notable. Don’t use it as an excuse to hold yourself back from achievement. There are no excuses, only winners and losers. Which side do you want to be on?
Now go out there and kick some ass. If you’re genuinely interested in lifting, stick around because it’s a great hobby and there are some very knowledgeable and experienced people on this site. If not, get the fuck off the computer now and start working. Because the rest of your life starts now.
PS: Don’t go over the top. Being a belligerent, deliberately nonconformist asshole who shit-disturbs “just cuz” and is hyper-aware of how “alpha” he is at any time isn’t confidence. That’s just being a prick.
