Since I’m no diet expert I’m going on the assumption that this doesn’t need to be earth-shattering advice, so here goes:

Best Christmas gift I got in 2003 was a food dehydrator/jerky maker. I make jerky using regular hamburger. Much cheaper AND tastier than the store-bought crap. It tends to be more tender as well - I always feel like I’m playing tug of war with the store-bought jerky. And have you ever looked at the labels on store-bought jerky? It has high-glycemic carbs in the form of corn syrup and what not.

I would like some Hot Rox, please, to go with my beef jerky snacks.

Expectations. You have get your head right before you get your body right. We all fall off the wagon when dieting. It’s normal. Give yourself a break. Attaining your goal is the all that matters (for the majority), even if it does take a few more weeks than expected. At least you got there.

I try to eat a relatively high carb breakfast. This seems to
prevent cravings during the day. I also track nutrients at
Fitday.com so I can’t lie to myself about what I’m actually

Eat food with complex carbs not simple carbs. Never completely cut carbs. Hey, I want HOT ROX.

Blend your flax oil and some balsamic vinegar and use it as a salad dressing on greens and grilled chicken. You’ll get your healthy fats and it’ll be more palatable than drinking it straight.

Spacing out smaller meals throughout the day and eating as frequently, but cleanly, as possible can really accelerate fat loss and keep metabolism as high as possible.

If you are new to liftingthen you need to worry about getting big and strong before you even think about getting “ripped”. If oyu are a little guy like me then it’s ok to eat foods that might might not make you “look good nekkid” and put on a little fat.

I’ve found that using massive eating food combinations very much aids in lean body mass and even when overeating slows fat gain. This style of eating even helps during times when one is unable to train. I recently had a surgery that has stopped me from training completely. By following those guidelines (combinations more than large calorie amounts), my LBM retention has been much higher than expected. I would like to try the new pill form of MAG-10.

Have a check-in system with someone else. Before you change your diet and/or follow a given diet program, explain it to a novice. By explaining it to them, you might raise questions which will require you to discover answers to those questions. Then after starting your new program, check in with this person on a daily basis to cover how well you did. Set a goal, and reward yourself if you reach it.
