Curious what your max squat or what are you hoping to hit at the meet?
I have not tested my max squat recently…some months ago it was 260, with just a belt, but I know it’s gone up since then. I am hoping to hit somewhere around 285 during my meet (and more would be even better!)
I don’t use wrist wraps, knee wraps, or any sort of gear.

And now we have the winner!
hahaha. good to have you drop by. and 135 deep and raw is still very good, regardless. And you are a competitive lifter, so I know (groan) that is not impressive for you, but for the average jane, it is.
while at cross fit nor-cal, my wife did a 250lbx3 no belt hook grip deadlift, and everyone there was freaking out. it was an average lift for her at the time…
point being things are all relative.
for example, I was pretty proud of a 120kg power-c&j I did the other day…as a old guy with tons of injuries, I was pretty pleased, but compared to what I was doing in my 20’s when I was a college shot-put athlete…well, it was pretty sad.
First of all… it’s really difficult for me to read your post without your avatar distracting on the side there, haha.
250x3 raw as a deadlift for a girl is not bad at all, and I can see why some people were shocked about it. You rarely (if ever) see a girl lift that kind of weight, so congrats to her!
Of course, if you get a big forum full of powerlifters it would SEEM that it’s a popular sport, but then you remember how many millions of people there are in the world, and suddenly realize just how small the odds are that you’ll see a chick walk into your gym and start deadlifting some big boy weights.
And you’re right, strength is relative. What might be impressive to one person may not be to the person doing it, or to someone else.
